here is what may have happened...MO said-fortunately it worked out for us..she didnt say whether or not Sasha had it.
NY times may have interpreted that to mean she didn’t have it.
NOt ever having been exposed to this subject I could be off base but they may have given her a spinal tap to determine if she had it..and then sent her on her way when it was negative.
I don’t think they would have released her in a couple of days if she had it.

Definitely not. My daughter had it at 8 weeks and although I had just recovered from viral meningitis they weren’t going to take any chances with an infant and she was hospitalized for a week.
It’s not something to toy with at any age.
