Since he's got it right, and spent many years defending our nation, I'll let him go with miseducation.
I wish I could have left that paragraph out. The article isn’t about either Catholic bashing or Catholic education.
Unfortunately that's true.
“...and his pre 9/11 warning that an attack was imminent.”
Duh, I’m slow on the uptake today.
I should have realized “Daniel Hill” was the Dan Hill that advised
Rick Rescorla.
Thats nice, but the problem with Islam is getting worse and worse across the world. “Moderate” Islam is not coming to the rescue.
Promoting the “moderate” Islam fantasy is only providing false hope.
“Ive also learned from the Quran why Muslims in many nations wish to wage war against Israel. In the Holy Book, there are two times when a Muslim is instructed to go to war. First, all Muslims must engage in war against anyone who attempts to prohibit another individual or group from worshiping God, whether the worshiper is a Muslim, Jew, or Christian.
The second is if somebody seizes or occupies a Muslims home or land.”
Muslims can go to war for being “oppressed” and “oppressed” can be anything like not being allowed to practice Sharia law.
They can also kill someone for “spreading mischief” in the land. “Mischief” can be anything.
Europe is on its knees to Islam and we are next. This article is irrelevant.
The Quran says, Suicide is usurping the will of Allah. One should die the death Allah has willed and not take ones own life. To commit suicide is damnation in hell for eternity .In war you do not harm women, children, the old or any non-combatant; you do not destroy churches, mosques, synagogues or any house of God; you do not destroy crops, cattle or tear the earth asunder.
Terrorism violates these laws.
According the Hadiths, Mohammad himself OKed the killing of women and children in night raids. Because they are from amongst them.
Mo, who Were you? A Terrorist That’s who.

Islam clearly allows terrorism. This guy is talking about of both sides of his mouth.

YUSUFALI: Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): “I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.”

YUSUFALI: This because they contended against Allah and His Messenger: If any contend against Allah and His Messenger, Allah is strict in punishment.
“Certain people have an agenda denying that such Muslims exist at all. It is easier to have a simplicistic black&white picture.”
Let us know what they have accomplished. Because I can easily show you that the problem is getting worse and worse.
It is simple, Islam destroys societies from within and if Muslim immigration is not ended, the West will eventually fall to Islam. “Moderates” are irrelevant.
American Muslims use our Constitution to advance Islam, they deserve no praise for that.
Prior to Vat II, such thoughts/sentiments were fairly common. Folks like Father Charles "Buy Gentile Silver" Coughlin had ratings through the roof preaching the same thing. However, it must be said that the first interfaith coalition between Catholics and Jews in America, if not the world, did get Coughlin thrown off the air.
I don't care for Islam, but you are wrong here. WE have "our" values, and they have theirs. It is not very conservative to "spread American values" worldwide. It has cost us thousands of lives and trillions of dollars since the end of WWII.
If the Saudis want to live according to medieval values, let them do so. A pig will always prefer his sty over a mansion.
Brought to the Middle East by the UN and paid for by our UN dues (US Taxpayers).

I'm sorry if you find what I said erroneous, but I have family members who are indeed Catholic, and they have informed me as I have written.
While I don't disagree with what you have said, I can't help but have the impression that "Church Teaching" trumps individual study and searching the scriptures for oneself. But please understand that I agree that the same holds true for most everyone who subscribes to any particular Denomination.
For instance: I was reared between the "Church of Christ, and the Methodist Denominations. At age 14 I was so confused by both extremes that I decided that there was no GOD, and that the whole thing was a sham.
However, at age 23, and after running from GOD for a while, I eventually received GOD's Gift of Salvation, in a Pentecostal Church.
I now consider myself as simply a follower of Jesus of Nazareth. While I deeply respect and share many of the traditions of the Christian Denominations, I don't necessarily agree with some as being "Biblically" sound.
Therefore I don't follow those teachings, nor will I allow myself to be held to account by any particular Church tenant and or denominational beliefs.

Excellent post comparing Mohammad with Jesus. A keeper!
I understand your point, and I deeply feel that any friend of Jesus is a friend of mine! So stay close to Our Lord and pray for me as I will for you.

“Iam so sick of the Catholic bashing. I begrudge no man his faith. Yet mine is constantly denegrated.”
Being an outsider, I’ve noticed plenty of Roman Catholic bashing by protestants and plenty of Protestant bashing by Roman Catholics.
‘tis the nature of strong-willed religious beliefs and many a war.
Me, I don’t take it personal, but look for seeds of truth in the accusers’ arguments and work on fixing those.
For example, in my Shul, I’ve seen many a person ignore the reading (singing, generally) of the Law. Talk about golf games or whatever, and it’s a bit of a joke in many a Shul.
Reason: it’s hard to follow, and I speak Hebrew.
I’ve taken to reading it (and commentary) in detail before services, maybe filling out study guides (including some from non-Jewish sources) and being well-versed before service.
It’s made a difference to me, and others have been following my practice.
For you, instead of being offended, look at protestant objections -— there will be a grain of truth -— for example, in my area, the Roman Catholics are primarily Hispanic and seem almost occult in their religious practice, focusing on icons and statues.
That’s a legitimate beef, I suspect (and presumably not reflective of official Roman Catholic beliefs, but certainly what is out there).
