Attended a great tea party today on the shores of Lake Michigan in Milwaukee. It was a sunny and almost crisp afternoon and 10,000 American Patriots came to Veteran's Park on the lakefront.
Among the speakers were our County Executive Scott Walker - running for governor; James T. Harris - who became a liberal target for telling John McCain to fight harder against the One; David Clark - our County Sheriff, a powerfully tall black man who resembles but is more handsome than Samuel Fishburne (he also spoke very non-partisanly and anti-tax); Joe the Plumber - an impressively articulate young man who motivated the crowd; Vicki McKenna - a hard core conservative with a rapier mind; and the one and only Michelle Malkin.
I am sure that a lot of the material that Michelle was using appears in her book. Time for me to run out and buy it.
Scott Walker was pretty firery and though a Republican pointed out that this isn't about party but about right and wrong.
Milwaukee is pretty liberal so this crowd is really significant. We were greeted by less than 10 lefties at the entrance to the park. I was pretty dumbfounded that they were actually calling us racists as we walked by. (though not very loud - must be harder to do that when you are outnumbered 1000 to 1 - and we were really really close. One had the sign about no one should have to choose between whatever and health care. I started the "I shouldn't have to choose between health care and beer -- I want free beer chant".
Many of the speakers referred to Nancy and her crying and Jimmy Carter - the twisted old whack job was also a favorite. I like the grass roots nature of how this came together. The organization names were new to me.
Plenty of American Flags and Gadsden Flags. God Bless America - Fight for our Freedom
Hubby and I are beginning to watch, Liberty - An American Revolution and IT IS INCREDIBLE. WORD FOR WORD WHATS GOING ON RIGHT NOW. ...Down to Glenn Beck at Tom Payne. If you exchange England for Obama and youve got the same feelings/passions/determination of the masses to stop the insanity thats going on right now. Its like a road map for our future. Its remarkably similar!!!! PLEASE EVERYONE WATCH THIS.

Milwaukee: I am so proud of you!
Scott Walker for Governor! Go Scott!
Harris sometimes guest hosts all the way down here in Tucson, on right wing hate radio station 104.1 “The Truth” FM. He’s good.
Imagine the same 10 thousand show up at the main fringe media outlets in Milwaukee....
Milwaukee County Sheriffs Department puts the crowd size at 15,000! Just imagine how many would have come if the paper and news outlets aside from talk radio and the internet, would have told people it was happening.
Walker’s gonna make a great Governor for us. I hope the WI GOP doesn’t pull the rug out from under him like last time. Yeesh!
I worked for the Mark Green campaign after the GOP dumped a WINNER like Walker; but, what else could I do?
Wisconsin Conservative Politics Ping!
My friend is a State Rep here in Wis. and he asked me to go with him yesterday. I had other plans. I am so mad that I didnt’ go. He was behind the stage and met Michelle Malkin. But this kind of enthusiasm is fantastic in our area...
May I suggest a middle finger?
Scott Walker looked and sounded great! Go Scott!
And Mark Neumann, please run for something else (like Senator?) As Scott says, “Lead, or get out of the way.”
Scott has been leading for the past 8 years while you have taken a vacation, so stand aside.
Agreed. Neumann needs to step aside for the sake of unity...and victory...
He should step aside and support Walker, but the GOP establishment is backing him.
What GOP establishment? Do you mean that has-been Tommy Thompson who has been perpetully running a campaign to collect money and then pulling out at the last minute? And his cohort Klauser? They are the ones who pulled the rug out from under Walker last time and we got Green. That worked out really good, didn’t it? Now, they are engaged in a whispering campaign about Walker saying that he’s not really pro-life or pro-gun.
Well, I know Scott Walker. Don’t know how he feels about guns, but I certainly know how he feels about life. He is definitely pro-life, so I’ll have to ask him about the guns. I’d take with a grain of salt anything Neumann, or his cohorts Thompson and Klauser have to say.
Thompson (who left this state bankrupt) has had it in for Walker since back in the day when he found that Walker is extremely honest and won’t bend to any agenda that he doesn’t feel is right.
Did you get down to the rally in Milwaukee, Diana? Unfortunately family obligations kept me here.
I hear Rebecca Kleefisch on Charlie Sykes's show in the afternoon on the internet. (You can download the podcast of his morning show.) She's great, as is Charlie.
I like Charlie's segment in the first half hour of the show that covers the Packers following Sunday's game. He gets Wayne Larrive on. It's a hoot. (Yesterday morning he said that Aaron Rodgers was sacked again coming out of the shower.)
Go Rebecca!
No, I didn’t go. I’m always too busy annoying the Liberals by working for a living, LOL!
I grew up in Milwaukee, though. I have a lot of affection for the old girl, though it’s been totally ruined by the socialists.
