It's just one state. But it’s one of the centers of African-American culture and influence in the nation. Atlanta, with nearly 6 million residents in its metro area, is home to hundreds of top black musicians and other entertainers, civil rights leaders, and business entrepreneurs. Janet Jackson, Usher, Tyler Perry, and Andrew Young are just a handful of the many big names that can be found moving about the Georgia city on a given day. That's why I was startled when our firm, InsiderAdvantage, conducted this past week two separate surveys about various issues for corporate clients in the area. Both polls were conducted on the same night. To keep phone respondents on the line while the poll quizzed them on rather mundane subjects, they were told they'd be given a chance during the questioning to offer an opinion on the job performances of certain political leaders. I was shocked when one survey showed President Barack Obama with a disapproval rating of 35 percent among African Americans in Georgia, while the second one had it at 38 percent. Those two results are statistically identical, as both polls had margins of error of plus or minus 4 percent.

They should be angry because his policies are throwing black people out of work. But I suspect they are angry because he is fighting in Afghanistan, or because he has said he would drop the “public option” in his health plan, or other similar reasons.
And I suspect that if they went to the polls tomorrow, 95% of them would still vote for Obama.
But of course Rooney is drinking breakfast tea and sipping Guinness in Dublin today, so we all know what the motivation was (Rooney wanted to be ambassador, and Obama needed to offset Lynn Swann).
The numbers of black unemployed now are even more staggering than white or hispanic unemployment. That should be an eye opener to all these black Obummer supporters right there. He ain’t helpin’. In fact, he’s hurtin’ everybody but especially black folks by raising all their various sales and income taxes like crazy.
I wish, but Blacks have supported dems for years and have received nothing for their trouble and they still haven’t woken up.
Yes, of course. But the Dem politicians blame it on Bush and promise to keep them on unemployment or welfare. The Democratic formula has always been destructive to blacks, yet they are pretty well hooked on it. And the media aren’t about to tell them the truth.

The government teat has been very hard to wean anyone from, as our otherwise most conservative voting bloc, senior citizens, attest. But, step between black people and their church, and you'll see a brawl. Bet on it. Obama's treading awfully close to doing just that.

It means nothing. If a new election were held Tuesday they would vote for Obama at the same 95%. Blacks talk a good game about conservatism but when put to the test the are a leading liberal group always were, always will be. They will NEVER vote conservative and are no worth chasing.

Cache this video - before it gets ‘disappeared’ = Lt Col West ran last election - but lost due mainly to his district republicans who followed the age old ‘how we loose’ program of backing, not who is the best candidate, but ‘who's turn is it?” This time, we all across the country, need to get back of this man. I watched his campaign in 2008 - listened to his talks. THIS man is vital to our freedoms. He could also encourage a lot of blacks.
NOTE: I cannot find ONE of the many YouTube videos of West that were on last year? They either don't dome up at all or come up as “no longer available.”
Is he being scrubbed? Ditto on web search - just this one video by Atlas Shrugged. ? Does the enemy realize what a threat he will be if he gets to DC? It's like he doesn't exist! (just Bat Man's Adam West, who dominates the search sites.)
The above video and this site is all I've been able to find. He's no longer even listed in wikipedia and I can't find his book listed anywhere - even in Amazon - even gone from my ‘wish list’ where I had the book listed...NOTHING that I can find on the net about his famous dust-up up with the Army...WHAT is going on????

It's spooky - I've had to dig deep in the search engines to find these few links on West, when in 2008, I had dozens of YouTube speeches, photos of West in uniform, etc - his speeches/talks while running were straight out our Founding Fathers...and they are all gone except for these few new ones. I had many saved in my favorites. Now they're all gone from the web. I cannot even find a wikipedia OR even his book listed on AMAZON? What is afoot?

This man was threatened with court marshall or retire for ‘scaring’ a terrorist in an action that saved the lives of his - OUR - troops. - You'll remember the story - (He shot a pistol off next to the terrorists head - a terrorist who had already participated in a raid that killed some of his soldiers and were planning another raid. West got the information and saved his troops...and the Army summarily charged him!)

Equal and like greater exposure to that culture and community show a vastly different picture than your are touting. I take back the delusional, your are clearly being disingenuous in your claims.
Correct! Just because someone goes to church does not make them Christian in their heart, black or white. One aspect of the black chuch is it has historically been a place to meet and socialize with like minded. Please don’t take that wrong, there most assuredly are many many true black Christians who live their faith and there are many white Christians who do not.

I'm in the south. My knowledge is of friends, their families and churches, in a midsize metro and in nearby rural areas, going back to the late seventies.

I sure do remember Lt. Col. West who showed more concern for the lives and well being of his men than the political hacks that have infiltrated our military to wussify, demoralize and disembowel.
By the way, it was not just a terrorist he was questioning, but a Saddam mole in the Iraqi police force who should have been shot as a spy.
West deserves, and has earned our support. He is a true American patriot.
They were expecting that electing Obama would immediately turn the country into Paradise. Ugly reality is starting to intrude.
Do not presume that this would make them vote Republican in any election.
I followed your link but haven’t found much more on Lt. Col. West. I’ll keep looking. He’s a good man and that trumps skin color any day in my book.
This is astounding. I, mistakenly, blew this guy off as an “angry black man.” But even for an Obama voter, he makes very good points.
Going to church and being God fearing are not synonymous
True but I work with a relatively large percentage of genuine believers and, because I struggle with my own obedience, I don’t judge others too harshly about their professing relationship with our Lord. I just figure if Jesus can be so non-judgmental of the woman caught in adultery, then I need to practice some of that myself.
