$10,000 Sanction Proposed Against “Birther” Lawyer (Orly Taitz)
WRBL ^ | September 18, 2009 | Teresa Whitaker

Edited on 09/18/2009 4:48:36 PM PDT by Admin Moderator. [history]

Federal Judge Clay Land may have made good on his threat of sanctions against a lawyer for an army officer fighting deployment on the claim that President Barack Obama was not born in this country. In an order today Judge Land denied a motion for a Stay of Deployment for Captain Connie Rhodes, filed by Attorney Orly Taitz yesterday. The motion was filed after Judge Land threatened sanctions and dismissed the complaint calling it frivolous. Taitz has 14 days to show why a $10,000 penalty as a sanction should not be imposed against her. We tried reaching Taitz. She has not returned our calls.

In a bizarre twist, News 3 has received a copy of a letter to Judge Clay Land, written by the officer in this case, Captain Connie Rhodes. In it she writes she is shipping out to Iraq and asks the Judge to withdraw the Motion to Stay the Deployment. She denies authorizing Taitz to file on her behalf.

LOL! I’m just saying what you said yourself!

It must be in Rules for Radicals somewhere, to try to defeat the opponent by accusing them of being nuts.

Instead of the actual argument itself; in fact, doing everything possible to *avoid* the actual argument itself.

Thank you, this little conversation with you is bringing a smile to my lips and cheer to my heart.

"She passed the bar exam and has a license to practice law in California. "

California is the only state in the Union that admits people to their bar that haven't graduated from an ABA accredited college - for good reason. Even with admittance to the California Bar, she would not be hired by the US Attorney's office, nor would she be admitted the JAG corps in any branch of military service.

If she had a competent legal education, she wouldn't make such fundamental and rudimentary mistakes like failing to execute proper service on the defendant (for over 8 months, no less), failing to sign her pleadings (multiple times in multiple cases) and failure to include her bar number in motions to the court. These are the signs of GROSS incompetence. It's not at all surprising she's facing substantive monetary sanctions.

Come on, Old Deck - we now know that Orly’s mistakes, inexperience and lack of education at an elite university law school gives you great pleasure! You’re not upset about these things, you love them!

What you abhor is the very issue of 0bama’s eligibility. Orly is your friend. Just think of the horror if a “competent attorney” were to fight this issue - on her side, of course.

You’re making my day, do you know that? I love it when people out themselves as you have done. And FR has no “edit” button.

Says who?

Which part do you disagree with?

This part:

Oh, and the 14th amendment? Yes, as the courts have come to interpret it, anchor babies are citizens.
Or this part?
So are a lot of other people who are not constitutionally qualified to hold the office of president.
I'm confused. Do you think anchor babies aren't citizens, or merely that any citizen can become president under the Constitution?

Can you back up those statements? Or is that your opinion. Lets see the evidence. Document your comments, please.

Of course not. Only natural born citizens can be president.

Thanks for the ping.

We’ve seen a lot of these behind-the-scenes claims come & go, so it’s just a matter of wait & see.

Both positions require degrees from law schools accredited by the American Bar Association. Taft College of Law, where Taitz got her degree, does not have such an accreditation. Don't believe me? Go to either website and look at their qualifications.

"Can you back up those statements?"

You can read it for yourself from the Navy's own website.

(b) Be a graduate of a law school fully accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA)

Navy JAG Careers

Here's the list of the ABA Accredited Law Schools. You'll notice Orley's school, William Howard Taft University, is conspicuously missing - surprise, surprise.

ABA Alphabetical School List

Incidentally, I'm glad you're so quick to demand "evidence" for the statements of others, but are reticent to do the same for your own less-than-sane statements. Just saying.

Here’s the JAG link:

http://www.goarmy.com/jag/requirements.jsp

All Assistant United States Attorneys as a matter of DOJ policy and regulation are required to have received their degrees from an ABA accredited law school. This has been true for at least the past 25 years. “Degrees” from “on line” mills, as well as those found in Cracker Jack boxes or left under a pillow by the tooth fairy are not acceptable.

"an elite university law school gives you great pleasure! "

Elite university law school? There are well over a HUNDRED (close to 200) ABA accredited law schools, and Orly didn't go to ANY of them.

Would you have a surgeon, or a doctor or a DENTIST work on you that didn't go to a school that even had a CAMPUS? Don't answer that, you just might.

"It must be in Rules for Radicals somewhere, to try to defeat the opponent by accusing them of being nuts."

You mean, like you try to accuse yours of being "trolls"?

That's all I've ever seen you do on FR. It appears to be the only argument you know how to make.

Somehow I had the impression you felt that way.

Thankfully, God has used ‘fools’ to stand up courageously for Him and for right throughout history.

I personally think that the PTB won’t allow her much effectiveness unless and until they are ready to trash him anyway for their own reasons.

However, I cheer her on. At least she’s causing folks to think who otherwise wouldn’t.

And, if you think she or your efforts and the efforts of those more in sympathy with you are going to return us to

Mayberry, Father Knows Best and Roy Rogers . . . are more foolish than Orly is.

The USA as we have known it . . . as the Founders envisioned it . . . as God has long blessed it . . . is no more and will be disciplined to it’s foundations. I’m not even sure how much of the foundation will remain. I do know it will not rise again in it’s present form.

Whatever remains to rise again will rise again only in the form Christ Jesus dictates for it . . . after Armageddon.

Attacking the person, not the issue.

But you’ve made your position quite clear, thank you very much.

Thanks for piping up, mlo!

In support of those who want the question of 0bama’s eligibility to never see the light of truth.

Thank you!

Why is it that even too many FREEPER atnys

seem to HAVE to compulsively demonstrate

that they are about as nasty as so many in their profession seem to genetically be?

Is it in their water?

Maybe they sleep on nails.

Perhaps they are brainwashed at night by the globalists by some sort of wave transmitted through their bedroom walls?

Maybe their ATTACHMENT DISORDERs are way beyond the 3rd standard deviation into Olympic class horrible?

I know! I know! I know!

The local secret society ran bar association sends around nasty pills from hell with their monthly vitamin packs—just to keep everyone on the same page!

If someone refuses to help God and right because of pride

. . . sounds like they already have a last class ticket to hell and a death grip on it.
