Mutations: evolution’s engine becomes evolution’s end!
Jouirnal of Creation ^ | Alex Williams

Posted on 09/18/2009 8:33:35 AM PDT by GodGunsGuts

In neo-Darwinian theory, mutations are uniquely biological events that provide the engine of natural variation for all the diversity of life. However, recent discoveries show that mutation is the purely physical result of the universal mechanical damage that interferes with all molecular machinery. Life’s error correction, avoidance and repair mechanisms themselves suffer the same damage and decay. The consequence is that all multicellular life on earth is undergoing inexorable genome decay. Mutation rates are so high that they are clearly evident within a single human lifetime, and all individuals suffer, so natural selection is powerless to weed them out. The effects are mostly so small that natural selection cannot ‘see’ them anyway, even if it could remove their carriers. Our reproductive cells are not immune, as previously thought, but are just as prone to damage as our body cells. Irrespective of whether creationists or evolutionists do the calculations, somewhere between a few thousand and a few million mutations are enough to drive a human lineage to extinction, and this is likely to occur over a time scale of only tens to hundreds of thousands of years. This is far short of the supposed evolutionary time scales...

This is exactly why we need to digitize neural pathways in living people so we can upload them to near immortal robot bodies.

That way when Rapture comes they will still be “Technically alive” while their soul will be in heaven. These Robotic people can then turn their attention to the sinful world of the people who are left behind and can restore order that way God and Jesus don’t have to soil their fingers with dealing with the sinful folks who are left behind.

Because we can’t keep a force of righteous people alive to keep order here on earth because their DNA will degrade too much, (That and Rapture will take them away anyways...) only robotic crusaders with neural patterns based on good people will be able to work. Using cybernetics to do God’s good work is the only way to go.

Do we have to read this nonsense here? Perhaps we were indeed created, but we SHOULD NOT support this view with nonsensical argumentation.
Please consider the OBSERVABLE evolution of HIV or influenza viruses, or bacteria, where random mutations serve the purpose of creating a spectrum of molecular properties, from which the natural selection process chooses the best suited for the given environment. Is drug resistance a phenomenon invented by Darvinists?

==Damn, we're all gonna die!!!!!!!!!!

You are quite right. However, the second death is completely avoidable.

Far too difficult. I think we should simply find and/or create the Crab People.

Do we have to read this nonsense here?

Yes, you are compelled to do so. You didn't want to, but somehow your fingers clicked on this thread, and your eyes looked at the words, despite your best efforts.

Then you were further compelled to post, because you had to know, were you really being forced to read this stuff?

Sorry. You probably thought you had free will or something, but you don't. YOu are doomed to forever read things you disagree with, even when you try to ignore them.

No. Nobody forced you to click on this link and post comments. If you don't like it, don't read it.

Did you actually read the article?

If there are parts of it that are wrong, please address them individually.

You know, this is not a minor issue. The Left likes to claim intellectual superiority. Creationism presented in the primitive way helps them justify this claim.
This is not about differences of opinions. I am talking about ignoring known facts (which I have briefly addressed).

"somewhere between a few thousand and a few million mutations are enough to drive a human lineage to extinction,"

Only if the identical mutations occur simultaneously in all members of the population. Although remotely possible, not probable. However, the genome decay postulated in the article is a major contributor in the onset of cancer.

Clear Proof of evolution is (Biblical) Creationists evolving into (Secular) IDers. Or did they really? Maybe evolution really is a fraud....

Did you see Pelosi do the phony crying act yesterday? It was priceless!

Crab DNA seems to be stable enough, I mean those 6,000 year old trilobite fossils from before the great flood somewhat resemble modern day crabs close enough. That and Crab people wouldn’t have souls if they are created via genetic engineering, we would just have to train them well in the word of the lord and they could make for a great post rapture peacekeeping force. At the very least they would remain behind to terrorize all of the non-believers and sinners left behind. Think of it as a gift left behind as a “just deserts” for the folks left behind.

If there are parts of it that are wrong, please address them individually. The whole thesis (mutations as the "spoilage" mechanism") is garbage. To illustrate my point I invoked the example of microorganisms, where the size of the populations, the rate of proliferation and (in some cases) the proneness to mutations makes the evolutionary process extremely fast, in some cases resulting with creating drug resistance within mere years.

Body cell lines and germ cell lines have totally different genetic mutation rates due to the way they are expected to operate.
