Sen. Bob Casey, among only seven senators on Monday who opposed a block in housing funding to the community group ACORN, said he'll follow suit on votes today designed to bar the organization from other sources of federal money.
Sen. Mike Johannsof Nebraska will bring amendments to the floor today that would ban ACORN from getting federal money from the Department of the Interior, environment and other related agencies. None of those agencies currently provide ACORN funding, but Johanns wants to ensure they don't in the future.
Casey characterized the measures as political moves at a time the Congress is dealing with more important matters.
"If it is the same thing, I'm going to vote the same way," Casey told reporters this afternoon. "We've got bigger priorities than this folks."

Rapidly heading down the Harris Wofford road....
I’d take a second/third look at anyone who did not oppose funding ACORN, as in: are they beholden to them?
Precisely. There is something seriously wrong here.
His first vote was bad enough; this is beyond pathetic.
This clown is completely out of touch and/or insane.
Guess the good folks in Pennsylvania will decide if there are more important things to worry about. 83 Senators have recognized that he is an idiot.
Bingo!
Gonna make a great Poltical Ad in the near future?
There is no other conclusion but that Casey is owned outright by Acorn.
This idiot is completely tone-deaf, apparently. Unfortunately he doesn’t come before the voters again until 2012.
If not, I will start one.
FReep mail me if you want on/off the list.
Casey needs ACORN. Without them, he couldn’t get elected as dogcatcher.
His father is spinning in his grave.
Maybe they are starting to see they were snookered.
He be fishin fo’ dem phiwa-dewphia votes.
“His father is spinning in his grave.”
At warp speed. Gov. Bob Casey, Sr. would be appalled at what his son is doing.
Probably the only elected official in DC more incompetent than Fauxbama.
My brother knew his father well and, from what I know, you are correct
