The sub-headline over the article says it all: "The investigation into a cop killing in the '70s leads to a law professor who helped launch Barack Obama's political career." The law professor is former Communist terrorist Bernardine Dohrn, a leader of the Weather Underground known for praising mass murderer Charles Manson.

isnt it just so cool how a us president is connected to all these law breaking american hating people and then conducts policy according to their desires. doe the opposition (republicans ) even notice?
back later...more info?
Shhhh, it’s not supposed to be know that 0 knows all these evil people. Well actually, it is all out there in the open and few seem to care about it. Or we are told that was in the past, you can’t associate these people with him now. Whatever.
One Republican did notice. During the campaign Gov Palin said he “palled around” with these slimes. In return the media and the intelligentsia scoffed and dismissed her and made HER sound like the crackpot. If it weren’t so infuriating it would almost be a joke.
Thought she was already investigated and aquitted or not charged- a miscarriage of justice for the dead cop
Her “manson-boy” lover William Ayers was the brave instigator who sent her and others on their murderous mission

I would like to ask the question again:
Manson led a group of murdering lickknobs who killed on his order. It has never been proven that he did any killing himself. Ayers and Doehrn founded and led a similar group that bombed and killed. They DID commit these crimes with their own hands.
Manson is in prison for life where he belongs. Why aren’t Ayers and Doehrn?
Never charged, as there wasn't enough evidence. What evidence exists is being re-evaluated with modern forensic technologies, and the case has never been officially closed.
There is no statute of limitations on murder, so there exists a possibility, however slim, that Dohrn could be charged, if the re-evaluated evidence supports it...

Ayres was charged, but got off on an illegal search, or some such. Dohrn was suspected, but never charged in the bombing that killed a SFPD officer, and maimed another. Evidence from that bombing is being re-evaluated using forensic techniques unavailable at the time.
Whether this will bring enough proof of Dohrn's involvement to charge, try, and convict her remains to be seen. I, personally don't hold much hope of it, but it is possible...

Of course, Smerconish had a perfect opportunity to ask "What about Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, who attempted to kill multiple cops by bombing a police station? Should they be executed?" If anyone in the media had any guts, they'd ask that question now in the context of this story.
> Ayres was charged, but got off on an illegal search, or some such. Dohrn was suspected, but never charged in the bombing that killed a SFPD officer, and maimed another. Evidence from that bombing is being re-evaluated using forensic techniques unavailable at the time.
There is NO STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS ON MURDER.
Oh DON’T get me started on MOO-mia....I still have the snarky email I got from Mike Farrell (the ferret) when I asked him WHY he would support such a criminal.
The total bastardization of our criminal justice system is just ONE reason why I am so angry at this government.
Agreed... However, looking at what actually happened in the case of another radical Marxist murderer, one Emily Harris of the SLA, even if they were able to make a case against Dohrn, Ayres, or both, what kind of justice would we actually see? Harris got basically what amounts to a slap on the wrist for shotgunning Myra Opsahl to death in an SLA bank robbery. I would, cynically, I suppose, expect to see the same kind of "justice" occur if the re-evaluation of the evidence in the bombing death of this SFPD officer led to charges being pursued against the pukes...
