HOUSTON -- A Houston man said police were called and citations were issued because of his posters of President Barack Obama, KPRC Local 2 reported Wednesday.
Mark Fuhre, 21, admits to hanging the controversial signs which prompted concern for different reasons from neighbors, police and political party leaders.
Fuhre said he was detained by police after posting the signs around his Kingwood neighborhood. The signs depict the president with his face painted like the Joker from Batman.

He must be detained. Der Führer does not approve of Mark Fuhre.
This is just a glimpse of what's coming, if Obama isn't removed, and soon.
I don’t think George Bush lives in Kingwood. I am not sure thsy it is River Oaks either.
What was the purpose of that in a case like this? That's pure jackboot thuggery.
Agree completely.
Seven officers were called to the scene of the crime? Screw Obama and his fascist flunkies, I hope this kid fights this to the end.
A friend sold tee shirts with Obama’s name in flames and “Anti-christ” in bold letters outside a stadium at a college game before the election last year. A middle aged black man became enraged over it and called the cops. The cops told him to take a hike. My friend gave each cop a shirt, which they were thankful for.
gee, kinda like the cartoon thing about mohammad, riots and all. is that what it is going to be like for a poster about obozo? This is about more than posters, its who gets to speak and who does not get to speak.....................
Bad form from that A-hole, but "seven" cops to arrest him? I support LEO, but I'm starting to get the gist from the conspiracy crowd about the "jack boots". I'm seeing the LEO's over-extend their authority almost on a weekly basis.
But then, who can blame them? They are up against every type of low-life POS bottom-dweller that our society oozes out in the sores that are the inner cities. Maybe I've seen to many "cop" movies.
Still, this sounds over the top.
What was the purpose of that in a case like this? That’s pure jackboot thuggery. <<<<<<<<<<<<<
Strange, since most LEO’s are not fans of Obama by any means.
Its typical in Kingwood to have many officers show up for even small stuff. They are bored out of their minds as real crime is very low here. They do get tired of issuing tickets all day (which is their primary purpose sadly).
Notice how this hit piece is written....trying to say that neighbors (hey! just like you and me!), and the police who protect us were the first ones who noticed and reported his signs. Then, the author tries to sneak in the Democrat sleaze balls into the end of the sentence.
This was Marxists getting upset by the truth, because the Fuhrer was criticized.
I lived in Kingwood for 20 years, it was a great place to raise children. I was one of the “Kingwood Kamikazi” trying to get accross 59 before the overpass was built.
Then..the City of Houston annexed it. water bills went up, taxes increased, Metro bus stops went in and crime increased.
Still drive by the old homeplace whenever in the area.
“guerilla protests” are not without consequences.
My friend lives in Kingwood; he ays that since he got annexed he can’t burn yard waste or shoot guns on his property, but the good news is that police response is now 20 minutes. Yay, a big win-win there, not.
I lived in Houston when they annexed Kingwood...and thought it was a crock...made me mad! I think people should be able to vote on annexation.
Political speech is a more strongly protected right than advertising for commerce. This is the perfect case for the ACLU to take up, if they were really for protecting American civil liberties.
