This morning, the ACORN scandal was raised to Charlie Gibson in an interview on WLS AM Chicagos Don Wade & Roma Morning Show.
TRANSCRIPT:
Don: Ok heres my question, Senate bill yesterday passes cutting off funds to this group called ACORN. Now we got the we got that bill passing, we got the embarrassing video of ACORN staff giving tax advice on how to set up a brothel with 13 year old hookers. It has everything you could want corruption and sleazy action at tax funded organizations thats got government ties. But nobodys covering that story why?
Charlie Gibson: (laugh) I dont even know about it. Uh, so you got me at a loss, I dont know. Uh, uh, but, but My goodness if its got everything including sleaziness in it we should talk about it this morning.
Roma: This is the American way
Charlie Gibson: Well maybe, maybe thats one you just leave to the cables.
Roma: Well I think that this is a huge issue because theres so much funding that goes into this organization and its a multi
Charlie Gibson: Well, I know weve done some stories about ACORN before but uh, uh this one I dont know about.

That's a very telling remark. Translated: "It's a bunch of crap, perfect for cable channels but not good enough for the broadcast nets."
Yeah, we know all about those intertubes. The intertubes are like a connected series of TUBES, you see, and the tubes get all clogged with all that news stuff.
Wrote a letter to ABC.
Dear Editor,
I was recently embarrassed that all my coworkers were talking about the Acorn tapes. They were saying that Acorn was caught on tape explaining to a pimp and his whore how to trick the government into funding them for a place to house underaged illegal immigrant prostitutes. I only watch ABC so I knew nothing about it. I guess this has been news for over a week now. I turned on Fox last night and figured it all out.
I do feel better about your prime time anchor not knowing about it either. For a day there, I thought I was the only uninformed and ignorant nitwit in the nation.
Please give me a call and invite me back when your anchor man is more up to speed about news in this nation than I am. Until then, I’ll report, you decide.
Yours truly,
Hellen Keller
Charlie sounds a lot like Bagdad Bob. Nothing is happening.
Anyhow, Charlie knew all about it. That pathetic giggle he had was the same one kids use when they’re lying. If he’s going to be a dem stooge, he’d better practice his lying techniques.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it!
A lot of people haven't heard it yet.
LOL
Obviously he doesn't. If he worked for ABC he wouldn't hear about this for another week.
So who is the man behind the curtain spoon feeding you your news broadcast Charlie?
I think a good new term for these people who don’t know about the news, and our demonstrations etc should be
BUBBLE PEOPLE
Last night I did a little experiment. I have not watched the news on ABC, NBC or CBS in forever. But I was curious to see if any of them were going to mention the Acorn story. I flipped between all three channels at about 45 - 90 second intervals (my wife threw the news paper at me and went upstairs to "actually watch TV."). I missed the first 15 minutes but found something else I thought amazing.
Not only did I not see the Acorn story in the time I was watching, the stories run on each of the networks were the identical stories run in the same order. Now, their timing was slightly off from each other and the coverage had subtle differences, but every story I saw was on all three. For example, each of the three did a piece on the credit crunch and each channel spotlighted either a family or person that the credit crunch was affecting. Each did a piece on the little girl that was kidnapped forever ago and talked about links to other previous crimes in the 80s.
How do they each "independently" decide to run the same stories? Why are all the stories in the same order? To be fair, I have only done this once so it could have been pure coincidence for one evening. I can tell you this, there is nothing unique about any of them. It is no wonder they are flying a jet at full throttle with no wings.
We need some more photoshopped captions of Charlie Gibson.
“Breaking story here! Japan has surrendered unconditionally!”
“The Chicago Cubs are World Champions! In the final game....”
“Our Top story tonight, Neil Armstrong walked on the moon today. We have audio now of the first words spoken from a human on the moon....”
He may not have known about this latest ACORN scandal, but he would probably have known about Gibson being confronted for not reporting it, and so would be trying to dismiss it as "old news".
Lol! Thanks for the pic. That’s the one I wanted to post beneath the article (without those things sticking out of his snoot holes)
I listen to Steve Malzberg on Thursday afternoons when he interviews Chris Wallace about what is coming up the following Sunday on Fox News Sunday.
Steve will bring up a subject that is really hot that week and Chris Wallace almost always says the same thing that Gibson said. He knew nothing about it, he’ll look into it, no knowledge.
I’m getting the sense that this what the anchors do so as not to discuss a possible controversial subject.
If you listen to Malzberg, have you the same impression?
Hey... maybe that's why they like 0bama so much... one of their own!
Unless of course the controversy involves a Republican.
Charlie Gibson is now the poster boy for what happens when you rely exclusively on the old-stream media (OSM) to find out whats going on in the world: you lose touch with reality.
Its fascinating, actually, that the OSM has grown so insular and isolated that they themselves have now lost touch with the world. Soon, no one will be paying attention to the OSM but others in the OSM. At that point, they will have constructed a self-contained alternate reality that only they exist in.
[BTW, I will no longer use the term MSM (main stream media). The tipping point has now been reached in which the old media outlets are no longer main stream: they are now simply just old. Hence, the the more accurate term old-stream media. I urge everyone else to start using term old-stream media (OSM), and will probably start making a minor pest of myself gently reminding people of this. If you control language, you control thought, and its time to start exerting ourselves in this fashion whenever feasible.]
WTF?? Since when does “the chin” have a newz program?
Although I stopped watching the late-night talks a long time ago, from what I’ve seen, Jay Leno isn’t too bad. At least he’s not an idiot, know-nothing lefty like Letterman.
