The terror plot unearthed after raids on three Queens homes involved operatives detonating nine explosives-laden backpacks to kill "as many people as possible," The Post has learned.
"They were going to blow up several places simultaneously and take out as many people as possible -- a large number of people," a federal law-enforcement official said.
Empty backpacks were among the evidence seized from one of the Flushing apartments raided by a NYPD-FBI team Monday.
Authorities also removed computers, cellphones and other material. No explosives were found.
The predawn raids were sparked by the reappearance in New York City of an al Qaeda associate who'd gotten top-level training in bomb-making at a Pakistani terrorist camp, sources said.
Najibullah Zazi was schooled in demolitions and military tactics along with several other men; all eventually settled in Queens, according to the sources.

There is an article on this forum from a Colorado radio or TV station where one of his friends says he is a nice boy who wouldn’t do anything like that. I propose a new law: no one from Pakistan or related to anyone from Pakistan can live in the United States. If you are here, you have to leave, and you can’t come back. You are an undesirable alien. Non-Pakistanis, if you go to Pakistan, you may come back here. Ditto Somalia.

If they know they were plotting and have evidence(which they must) they can be arrested for plotting the attacks. This is crazy. I hate liberals and leftists. They are going to get us all killed!

First off, why is this not treason? Irresponsible press gave us his name, his home location and the fact that he's beign followed by the FBI. The article did not need to disclose those facts, they just made the job of the FBI about 1,000x harder - how many people will die because of this irresponsibility.
Secondly, you can't fix stupid. When you have idiots (with appologies to those with limited mental capacity - yet somehow did not get elected to office or in charge of a police force) who do not know how to discreetly ask a question, one questions how they manage to solve a 'real' crime. Apparently they don't. Not knowing the difference between asking discreet questions, and plastering paper signs all over a neighborhood is grounds for someone being demoted to pushing a mop for the rest of his life.

Good question. I suppose they'll wait until somebody succeeds, then blame it on Bush. Personally, I think it's time to start thinning the herd...
