At the core of a congressional push to audit the Federal Reserve are activists with a larger purpose: to abolish the central bank.
Thousands of Americans are joining protests and lobbying their lawmakers in pursuit of the ultimate goal of replacing the Fed with a money system backed by gold or other commodities.
Largely inspired by Rep. Ron Paul, the Texas Republican whose latest book, "End the Fed," will be released Wednesday, the movement draws its strength from people who want a sharp shift away from government dependency and toward a truly free-market economy.

Ron Paul is an America-hating kook. If he wants to get rid of the Federal Reserve it must have something to do with giving aid and comfort to America’s Islamofascist enemies. Therefore, I’m pro-Fed!

I don’t believe that Ron Paul is an America-hating kook.
He seems to be one of the few congressmen who actually reads the Constitution AND the legislation put before him.

When I was at the tea party on saturday I signed a petition to audit the FED; it wasn’t without reservation. I’m not a fan of the current system, but get rid of it and what happens to our money system? It gets out under the direct control of Mdm. Pelosi and Bawney Frank?

Then you are a simplistic moron who is capable of figuring out each issue for himself.

Either way, it's very sad that your purposefully ridiculous satire post was so close to some people's actual rantings that our Sarcasm Detectors didn't catch it.
To: Rodebrecht
You’re an idiot! The Fed=Slavery.
Ron Paul is a little extreme on FP, but domestically he is almost 99% Correct.
Why bash any “ally”..? Why not just disagree with RP when necessary, and agree (ally) when possible? That’s the best way to build a coalition, a movment?

He isn’t. He simply called for another investigation of the attacks to expose government incompetence that left us wide open for the attacks. The Truthers latched on to this, thinking he meant their was thermite hidden in the walls of the WTC.
