"But imagine what a force multiplier would be if the next one were held outside of local and national television networks and their headquarters where they can't miss it? Right there, on or next to the properties housing the TV networks! Dare them to cover what is right under their noses! Put the media in the spotlight and on the hot seat. "

Spread the word!!!
They will try to ignore them. Believe me they will try.
I like the idea.
The Beck-Limbaugh Tag Team keep the punches coming.
What about showing up in front of Good Morning America or the Today show when they have those outside shoots??? You would have to find a way to sneak your sign through to be allowed in, but it could be done!!
Others have a lot of signs. I imagine a LARGE group of conservatives could make themselves 90% or more of the crowd and deploy their signs once they get to the rails where those shows film. GMA and Today would probably choose to skip the crowd shots, but it would still make the point when everyone asked why.
I think Rush is a great analyst but not a great strategist (or “strategerist”). I have always thought that “Operation Chaos” probably did a lot to help Obama in the long run.
But aside from that, I think we have to be careful. Some of these protests may be on private property, which is much dicier than protesting on public property; also, I think there’s a lot of potential for disruptors to join the crowd. They will carry bizarre signs, be very rowdy, and make us all look like freaks. That, of course, WILL be carried by the media.
Just saying we should think carefully about this and not get carried away.
GREAT IDEA. If we’re going to do these things, that’s where to do them.
BUT...
its not as much fun as sweating on the Mall or in Rockefeller Center but there IS a better and less costly — way to scare hell out of them and you won’t have to leave home.

Can you do it on a day when Charlie Gibson is in. I’d hate for him to not get the message
I agree with you on both points. This kind of activity will lead to “see, we told you that these were centrally-organized protests” comments, thus negating the organic nature of the 9.12 self-initiated activity.
Cloth signs interspersed between layers of clothing (between jacket and sweater). That way pat downs wouldn't reveal the sign.
Better idea Rush. Put up or shut up.
On one hand Rush says the MSM is dead and on the other hand he complains they don’t follow conservative causes. Rush compaining that the MSM is not doing what he thinks should be done sounds like McDonald’s complaining that Burger King doesn’t give the Big Mac equal time!!!!
Why didn’t Rush put on a Special Live Broadcast from Washington on Saturday? I guess he had no faith. If the successful protest had been a flop he would have looked bad and I guess he didn’t want that!
Torch the New York Times! (Well, figuratively.)
FINALLY! The Rush Limbaugh Show | 9/14/09 Rush proposes next tea party events at National Media Outlets
The media is the enemys front line defense, until they are confronted and exposed nothing gets better! There is an ABC,NBC, CBS, CNN affiliate in every city. We could ALL attend these protests nationwide! At least they would get local coverage. They can ignore and lie about protests when held in one spot, but they cant ignore us in every city at the same time.
The time is right...LETS ROLL!
Poll: News Medias Credibility Plunges CBS News 9/14/09 http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/09/14/business/main5309240.shtml
[snip]Nearly two-thirds of Americans think the news stories they read, hear and watch are frequently inaccurate, according to a poll released Sunday by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press. That marks the highest level of skepticism recorded since 1985, when this study of public perceptions of the media was first done.
BTW.... This slimy media didn't even report the last terrorist attack on US soil murdering U.S. Army personnel!! Recruitment Shooting Suspect Doesn't Think Killing Was Murder
June 9, 2009 "I do feel I'm not guilty," Abdulhakim Muhammad told The Associated Press in a collect call from the Pulaski County jail. "I don't think it was murder, because murder is when a person kills another person without justified reason."
Pvt. William Andrew Long, 23, of Conway had just completed basic training and was volunteering at the west Little Rock recruiting office before starting an assignment in South Korea. He was shot dead June 1 while smoking a cigarette outside the building, and a fellow soldier, Pvt. Quinton I. Ezeagwula, 18, of Jacksonville was wounded.[snip]
OR
Last week when a peaceful anti-abortion protester was murdered by a 'free choicer' !
Abortion Double Standard
The Star-Ledger - NJ.com -Sept. 11, 2009 According to news accounts, Harlan James Drake told police he was "offended" by Pouillon's anti-abortion protest Jim Pouillon, 63, was struck down Friday morning outside a high school in a small town near Flint, Michigan, in front of horrified witnesses.
The suspect also killed another man at another location, but was apprehended before he could commit a third murder.
It dawned on me Saturday that we're big enough to shut down the federal government, so why not go to the source of most media misconduct and concentrate on the Times?
I mean wouldn't it be a gas to unfurl a gigantic banner of the Times front page from 9/13 with their Obama worshipping headline of his maniacal speech?
You don’t listen too well, do you?
I’ve been yelling for us to do this since forever. The media is the fifth wheel of government now. We need to get the message to them that we don’t believe a word they say and that they are irrelevent.
The last Tea Party, in Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square, which is claimed to be the living room of Portland.. AT the Square is Channel 8...RIGHT AT THE SQUARE...Channel 8 DID NOT COVER the 1500+ people at the Tea Party protest that went from 5pm-8pm. But, they did cover news that required them to go across town. The absolute blatant bias was truly revealed.
Evidence that you can’t count on them reporting a protest (especially against them) just because it is held at their location. It was stunning.
I am with you Aunt B. Go for it.
I just had a thought. We could use the week before the rally to “Dump the Media”. We could cancel newspaper subscriptions, write and call major advertisers on the news programs to complain about bias; or, even boycott these products for the month of October. Cancel or reduce cable subscriptions, refuse to watch their programming. Those with businesses that advertise on local stations could cancel for the week or month.
My thinking is that they won’t listen to us unless maximum pressure is applied from all sides: advertisers won’t be happy, local stations losing business will be voicing their concerns to the network, etc. If we cost them money, they’ll notice!
