The fourth installment of James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles's undercover report on ACORN is supposed to drop within the hour at BigGovernment.com and will be aired on Glenn Beck at 5:00 p.m. This time the duo took their sting operation to California, where an employee named Theresa confesses that she killed her allegedly abusive husband, and laid some "groundwork" beforehand. Beck aired portions of the video on his radio show today, and Leslie Sherman of The D.C. Writeup wrote it up:
10:54am: As the audio continues, James divulges his aspirations to run for an elected office someday. In enthusiastic response, Theresa says she speaks with Congressman and Senators every day. She names Senator Barbara Boxer and Senator McCleod, and 62nd district Assemblywoman Wilmer Amina Carter. Theresa says that “Eden’s” prostitution money would be an asset to him in his quest to become a Senator or Representative.11:01am: Regarding the legislators that she speaks with, Theresa says that they (most likely herself and their ACORN office) are lobbying these law makers in behalf of health care reform. Apparently, this “non-partisan” organization that gets government money for housing assistance is using tax dollars for health care lobbying.
11:15am: Theresa discloses that her ex-husband abused her and “beat the hell out of” her. She then continues to confess, “I killed him . . . . I shot him.” She notes that she had laid some “groundwork” beforehand. When James and Hannah question her as to whether he was abusing her when she killed him, she says that he was not at that moment, but she knew he was going to, she said, “I knew it was coming.”
Should be an interesting video. Will the mainstream media cover the ACORN story now?

Theresa mentions Obama being the President on the tape. I don’t know about the dates, but they aren’t on O’Keefe’s YouTube video. And, he introduces the piece by saying it was filmed in August 2009.
And, yes, I’ve been disturbed by ACORN since the early ‘90s when I listened to a blues program on local community radio and they were a constant presence.
It’s a common mistake to think that Obama thought there were 57 states. Remember, he said, “I’ve been to 57 states, one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to.” So, he thought there were either 58 or 59. :-D
I thought that too. Almost too similar for it to be coincidental as though these scenarios were covering in a "training" of sorts.
If this kind of stuff is routine for these people, John Edwards is right--there really are two Americas. And I want to be separated from theirs as quickly and as efficiently as humanly possible. These people operate in third world survival mode mentality which is completely unnecessary in our country. This means they are there by choice.

You're taking comments I made about a different class of victims entirely out of context.

I stand by my statement that the victim's own choices are frequently PART of the problem. The context of my comments was the world of ACORN activist types. It's GROSS oversimplification and DISHONEST on your part to claim that I'm just "blaming the victim".
You're talking exactly like an average Liberal who throws around crap like "no blood for oil". It's an emotion-laden reaction that has little or nothing to do with the facts.
I find fault with your statements because the first person you responded to put himself ABOVE others, believing in some “specialness” of his family that kept him “safe” - implying that since his family were cops and wardens, and preachers was the reason none of them have ever died in a war, or been victims of crime, and no-one in their family has ever gone to jail, and you responded that he was RIGHT to believe such a notion.
Well, I don't know how else to put this: YOU'RE WRONG.

His comment was one of gratitude, I believe. He is thankful that the family in which he grew up and the choices he made in life have given him a life of peace, free from the kind of violence the ACORN types seem to live with daily.
I agree wholeheartedly with his comment and it is TRUE. The choices you make, the people you associate with, the activities you engage in, all these things have consequences. They affect how your life will go. They affect the LIKELIHOOD that you will experience crime and violence in your life and how often.
What I just wrote does NOT guarantee that it will be one way or the other, but GENERALLY that's how things will go.

And it's a LIBERAL mindset that embraces the victim mentality of, "What happens to me in life is someone else's fault. I have no control over my life or its outcome. Somebody PLEASE make life FAIR for me!"
YOU are the one who is responsible for your life and how it goes. Yes, you will be affected by things outside your control; everyone is. Some of those experiences may be terrible, tragic and difficult. It doesn't change your primary responsibility to be in charge of your life.
Even victims of childhood abuse of all kinds can overcome that horrible experience WHICH IS NOT THIER FAULT AT ALL and go on to live lives of peace. If such a victim will refuse to let that experience define him and control him, he can make choices which make further violence in his life much less likely.
I’m not sure if anyone really was killed. This woman looks seriously disturbed. It’s possible there is no truth to anything she said. However, her willingness to assist pimps and hos to buy brothels with our tax dollars is serious enough without murder. What is even worse is the way she and all of the other ACORN employees in the videos had no objections to underage, illegal aliens becoming sex slaves.

I was going through the list, and I find much of the same in my own family too.
I wonder if it will EVER dawn on these ACORN types, that perhaps (just perhaps), they live really screwed up lives, and their screwed up lifestyles are what has led them to where they are now.
It might seem to be ridiculous, but I still hope one day, the light will dawn upon them, and they’ll wake the hell up.
