"Are women more effective lawmakers than men?
Thats the preliminary conclusion of a study conducted by researchers at Stanford University and the University of Chicago, who say that on average, women in Congress introduce more bills, attract more co-sponsors and bring home more money for their districts than their male counterparts do. "

My thoughts exacttly. However, we can pay them less! ;) **duck***
Well, women are the best whores (unless you are Barnie Frank).
Didn’t Barney provide housing for the one fellow? That would make Barney a pimp, right?
My criteria is the exact opposite. I want Congresspeople who repeals the most bills and who spends less money in their district that allows taxpayers to keep more of their money.
How come every list of top porkers are men?
Women are better lawmakers. That’s the problem, we have way too many laws. And it has gotten way worse since women have poured into Congress.
Wow, that was well done! =P
give me a list of good conservative women.
can’t name very many, can you?
Not something to be proud of.
The LAST thing this country needs is more bills introduce.
Another analogy might be, men in prison produce more dead bodies than women. Does that make them better?
Anyone who REMOVES some of the escalating endless laws that form the bars of our enslavement would be a good “lawmaker.”
In my experience, men tend to rely on facts and women tend to rely on feelings, in a gross generalization. I would assume that “motherly” women would skew Lib, reasoning that the State should act like your parents, limiting your choices, because you can’t be expected to make good choices on your own. This means the the criteria for “better” lawmakers becomes “more” laws, meaning more restrictions of your personal freedom of choice.
I can’t agree on a measurement of effectiveness by number of bills introduced or dollar value of bacon brought home.
I’d measure effectiveness on fiscal responsibility, efficiencies gained, and legislation that truly has a strategic value. Subjective, yes absolutely.
“I cant agree on a measurement of effectiveness by number of bills introduced or dollar value of bacon brought home.”
Agreed. That is “most active,” not most effective...and certainly not most efficient.
IOW, the women are worse busybody socialists.
In other words, they are more corrupt?
Maybe the thread should be titled female Socialist lawmakers better than male Socialist lawmakers in destroying America.
Yep, spending money they dont have. Just like at home.
Clearly my congresscritter, Sheila Jackson-Lee, is a perfect example !
Barf !!
