I hardly know what to say... This journalist is a very good writer, and I wanted to hear more when I got to the end of the “entry”/article.

In the meantime, I’m trying to figure out why Westbrook’s name is so familiar to me — his family and friends are in my prayers.

God bless and protect our troops in Afghanistan.

What?

Sorry, but your English is broken; least for me ;-)
What does your JAG friend mean this is preferred? What is preferred?

No artillery support because it might cause civillian casualties? That’s a strange way to go about winning a war.

In the last little bit he mentions that the Tango’s seem to have an unlimited supply of ammunition. I suppose it’s reasonable to think that way when you’re getting shot at but, if he’s right, this was planned out well in advance. Kind of makes you wonder just how much that village elder had really gone and renounced the Taliban.

well met a marine that was training prosecutors for Marines
he said that it’s an insurgency and they last 12 years

and he said that doing the same thing as Russian such as helicopter support and massive force will not work and they have to do this

hand holding themselves into an ambush, i just shut up at that point cause i was not there

i said jag becuase i dont know enough about how that works with Marines

Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps

Artillery support promised but NONE delivered over the course of 80 MINUTES UNDER FIRE..!

Repeatedly told they were NOWHERE NEAR civvies...!

Our guys are being offered up as cannon fodder..!

The REPORTER had to hold the gauze on the FUBAR marine’s neck as he was screaming..!
