It's getting to the point where it makes little sense to listen to the President speak. He speaks in broad generalities about laws and regulations he wants to enact. Often the generalities are such that they are difficult to argue with in the manner he presents them.
For example, he says he wants to protect against future crises, like the kind we have now. Well yeah, who wouldn't? But the devil is in the details, which the president never discusses.
Yet, he has added a master "nudger", i.e. detail man, who thinks he knows more about how people should eat, sleep, live and treat wild animals, than they do themselves. And, he is going to do everything necessary to nudge the rules and regulations in a way that he will control the outcome. It this nudger's work that we need to know about, not the President's hollow generalities.
And when the President isn't discussing in generalities the laws and regulations he wants to implement, he often simply speaks absurdities: I've always been a strong believer in the power of the free market. I believe that jobs are best created not by government, but by businesses and entrepreneurs willing to take a risk on a good idea.
I believe that the role of government is not to disparage wealth, but to expand its reach; not to stifle markets, but to provide the ground rules and level playing field that helps to make them more vibrant and that will allow us to better tap the creative and innovative potential of our people. For we know that it is the dynamism of our people that has been the source of America's progress and prosperity. Obama a strong believer in free markets? Not a chance. This is the man who just put a tariff on tires from China, who shoveled billions into a union crippled domestic auto industry and who wants government to control finance and health care. Free enterprise? Who is he trying to kid? He is not a believer in free enterprise, he is one very power hungry man who has identified unions as an important base. What he has planned next is a unknown, but it will not be about free enterprise. It will be more controls some how on you and me, that's the only thing Obama believes in, and don't forget it.
All he does is Preach to the Choir. His speaches mean nothing any more. The more he is on TV, the more people turn him off. It’s the sameo, sameo all the time.
The O regime has been the best friend of the moneyed interest in this country in history. He has shoveled out hundred of billions in taxpayer dollars to line their pockets.
0 is Wall Street's bitch and they knows it.
But, I like platitudes. Where else can one hear someone speak, and not say ANYTHING at the same time?
This is the style of a junta leader, somewhat like a ruler than a president. We are dealing with the Obama Junta. We are not accustomed to it.His power comes from devine providence that has a black man as so called president.
Therefore Obama sees himself as a ruler. His power does not ostensibly come from the people in his mind.
Therefore he can speak in vague generalities so he can later dictate what he himself wants, regardless of what the people want. Obama Junta.
Where else can one hear someone speak, and not say ANYTHING at the same time?
C-span?
Obama, Waxman and other Democrats admitted to “not knowing” exactly what’s in these bills that they urged be passed asap, but then turn around and accuse anyone who wanted to know more of racism and worse, lack of patriotism, etc. (`nostrilism’?).
(Incidentally, one definition of a totalitarian state is a government that has rules or laws that are impossible to obey.)
Consequently, to the world we Americans, our leaders particularly—on national television and in the days that followed—looked like jackasses who didn’t even know what a proposed act addressed, e.g. whether it will cover illegal aliens or not.
Turncoat Specter demanded additional sanctions immediately following Wilson’s perfunctory apology; Pelosi joined in, and so forth; in sum, the houses of Congress & the WH have resembled, I think, a French bedroom farce with denunciations & strong words, apologies, weeping, coming & going—and a lot of screaming and hand gestures by all actors.
Just like the Peanuts character, all I’m hearin’ is “wah, wah, wah, wah.” Or, “blah, blah, blah, blah.” One can take only so much from this dweeb.
He’s merely setting up his future excuse,
for not doing any thing about Wall Street Banks,
saying he “asked” Wall Street,
and he “asked” Congress.
He is in the banks’ pocket.
Health care industry too.
Lie after lie after lie. This guy is worse than the Clintons. No street cred. Anyone that would stand behind him really needs to look at him. He will do you no favors.
