A retired teacher died of a burst stomach ulcer after a paramedic told her to ‘stop being such a drama queen’ and failed to take her to hospital, an inquest heard yesterday.
Mother-of-three Eileen Ellis-Whitfield, 63, died just hours after an ambulance was called to her home when she fell seriously ill with chronic stomach pains.

I think it must be drilled in their ignorant brains—everything is mental unless you see blood or bones. JERKS! It makes me sick to read stories like this and yours. Yet it keeps happening. We are still in the stone age!!!
Britain may one day be known as “The Islamic Republic of Britain”. Sooner rather then later, I fear.
“Wow...that sounds just like my husband, LOL!”
What - your husband goes to the doctor!? ;)
Most everytime I go it is at the urging of my wife, and when I finally give in and go the doctor says “You should have done this sooner....” I am getting better though at listening to my body. And my wife.
Oh no...I am much more enlightened than that. You see, if there is no soul, we, along with the animals are just a conglomeration of molecules. In other words, earth dust. We must not discriminate against universal dust, so I say Obama's new Cazar is an intergalactic dust bigot for protecting any earth species.
Well, she stopped.
Someone I know was taken to the ER on a holiday weekend. He had severe pain in his shoulders and upper back. The ER nurse scolded him and his family for not waiting to visit the hospital till the weekend was over. He protested that his pain was not responding to pain killers and that he has had heart trouble before. After they pumped him full of morphine, which was not very effective, they ran some tests and were surprised to find that he was having several heart attacks. He had gone in early in the morning. They discovered the problem around early afternoon.
Omeprazole?
Excellent advice.. This topic gets me riled up, and the stories break my heart. There needs to be an overhaul in the communication process... But govt, leave our health care alone!
oops!
LoL! Earthdweller!
My husband has to go to the doctor on a regular basis, he is a 14 year kidney cancer survivor...they removed his kidney and he went through chemo...and just had a triple bypass a couple of years ago. His left side looks like Dr. Frankenstein got ahold of him, although everyone says I spoil him so much that I am the one that created the monster, LOL!
I’m very sorry about your mother. Thanks for sharing your story. It may save a life.
Have you ever tried ginger? It’s remarkably effective. I buy it at the grocery story. It’s covered with sugar, tastes great and works like a charm.
That’s too bad. Omeprazole 40 mg per day has been working for me for about three years now.
Sugar is one of the main culprits that causes my acid reflux, so I wouldn’t use anything with sugar in it or on it. I have reactive hypoglycemia as well. If I eat sugar, I just bounce off of the walls for awhile then crash and burn and all I want to do then is sleep. I don’t even use sugar substitutes as I worry about them causing cancer, anything sweet just tastes nasty once you get used to not having it. I drink unsweetened tea instead of sodas and just don’t eat sweets. Even some fruits such as strawberries will affect me badly. I don’t use salt either, it makes me bloat horribly.
That must be so difficult. Have you tried low sodium club soda? That seems to be helpful as well.
She did her country a favor - she died.
Now they have more money to keep their younger slaves from getting too sick to go to work and pay their taxes.
thanks, bfl
Wow.
In the US they would basically ask several times to encourage a relunctant person to go to the hospital as a precaution. My sister had a seizure and they took her even though she was fine by the time they got here.
