This November, New York voters will vote on a ballot initiative to establish an official government "9/11 TRUTHER" commission with subpoena power and a $10 million a yaer budget from PRIVATE DONATIONS.
The wording of the ballot initiative is seductive and low-key enough to win a majority of NYC voters, simply asking "Would you like to find out more about what happened on 9/11?" The ballot initiative does NOT make any accusations or mention any conspiracy theories.
Therefore, the ballot initiative is likely to pass. Even those who do not believe in the conspiracy theories will want to know more and/or hope it will clear the air.

City of New York Concedes 9/11 Coalition Has 30,000 Valid Signatures To Put Referendum For 9/11 Investigation on November Ballot September 10, 2009
New York – In a last minute decision, lawyers for the City of New York have conceded that the New York City Coalition for Accountability Now (NYC CAN), a group comprising 9/11 family members, first responders and survivors, indeed did submit over 30,000 valid signatures to put the referendum for a new 9/11 investigation before the voters of New York City this November.
In an earlier letter from the City Clerk dated July 24, 2009, the City had claimed only 26,003 signatures were valid, 3,997 short of the requisite 30,000. The City’s concession that over 30,000 of the 52,000 signatures submitted were in fact valid paves the way for lawyers from both sides to argue the legality of petition.
Representatives for NYC CAN, 9/11 family member Manny Badillo and Executive Director Ted Walter, arrived at the Board of Elections on the morning of Wednesday, September 9, to assist the court-appointed referee in commencing a line-by-line review of the disputed signatures, only to learn the referee’s review had been called off due to a last minute concession by the City. Mr. Badillo immediately got on the phone to inform others of the news.
“The City conceded we have 30,000 valid signatures. Big victory.”
The City’s concession comes as a result of the immense effort put forth by 50+ volunteers who gave more than 1,000 hours over a two week period from August 10 to August 25 to identify a total of 7,166 signatures that were wrongly invalidated by the NYC City Clerk and Board of Elections. On August 27, NYC CAN filed the 631-page Bill of Particulars cataloguing each of the 7,166 signatures it contended were in fact valid. NYC CAN submitted another 28,000 signatures on September 4 to guarantee the referendum will go on the ballot if they win the court case, bringing the total signatures submitted to 80,000.

NYC CAN must deliver its memorandum of law in response to the City’s motion for summary judgment by Monday, September 21. The City will be given an opportunity to reply before the referee’s decision is made on Monday September 28. Fast-track appeals will likely follow no matter who wins. A final decision will have to be made by September 30.
If the referendum passes in November, it would lead to the creation of a local, independent commission with subpoena power that would be tasked with comprehensively reinvestigating the attacks.
Unfortunately, if only one side of the story is told, it is possible to lie about anything. Witnesses will exaggerate to win their spot in history. "Experts" from ONLY the conspiracy theorists' camp might be called. This can smear good people for years to come.
There will be no due process, no right to cross-examine witensses, no right to insist on a balanced presentation by witnesses on all sides. There will be no way of demanding rational witnesses.

There are probably millions of people who don’t even know they are part of the conspiracy. It is so secret that members of the conspiracy don’t even know it. :)

The wording of the ballot item:
“Would you like to find out more about what happened on 9/11?”
would not pass the smell test in Massachusetts. Something more informative and neutral like, “A proposition to create a panel to investigate the events of September 11, 2001” would be more like it.

Wish we could, but it is next to impossible here. Just the other day the usual suspects were giving a press conference asking that Charlie Rangel be left alone. As he is doing a good job. Imagine the MSM reaction if a conservative state created a similar commission to investigate whether or not Obama is a citizen, with subpoena power to finally get a copy of Obama’s long form birth certificate.
His sermon was also a video media extravaganza from YouTube. He started in on the "truther" crap and I raised my hand to advise him that some of us are familiar with the internet and some were old people that didn't understand that because someone says something doesn't make it true. He was taken aback and more or less said Bush ADMITTED he was in on it with a video of Bush saying he saw the second plane hit the towers and it had to be war. I looked at this "admission" and it wasn't anything of the kind. His argument was that he wasn't near a TV at that time so how could he have "watched" it happen unless he knew about it beforehand? Then he went on quoting other "facts like Jet fuel doesn't burn hot enough to melt steel, ect.
I determined he had gone insane and left the church. We haven't spoken since except for one email. To underestimate the power of propaganda would be a mistake because I have personally seen the destruction of the human mind with this bilge.
As far as I know, he is still the pastor there, so we now have another American "madrassa". I hope is is sleeping better now with Obama in office. We can laugh off morons like Mikey Moore to our own peril, but the cancer has taken hold of a large segment of our population.
One can only imagine the dog and pony show New Yorkers could put on with "expert" witnesses from Tinsel Town and CGI presentations.
