A million or more rock Washington--Taxpayer march could be biggest rally ever in capital.

WASHINGTON – The capital was rocked today by a taxpayer march and rally that could be the biggest protest ever – potentially dwarfing the Million Man March and the Promise Keepers Rally.

Though crowd estimates vary from as low as 60,000 to 70,000 according to ABC News to a high of 2 million by London Daily Mail, photographs and videos of the march and rally demonstrate its enormity.

The taxpayers stormed Washington, D.C., today, taking their fight against excessive spending, bailouts, growth of big government and soaring deficits to the front door of the U.S. Capitol.

All week citizens have been heading to the Hill by the busloads for the showdown today. The Tea Party Patriots' "Tea Party Express" national bus tour has been hosting a series of tea party rallies all across the nation. A caravan of buses, speakers and entertainers arrived in Washington, D.C., just in time for the march. The taxpayers have paid their own way to the event.

The White House said Friday it was unaware of the rally. President Obama has traveled to Minneapolis, Minn., to promote his health-care plans at a rally there.

But so many taxpayers showed up on Pennsylvania Avenue that the crowd ran out of room and the march was forced to begin early.

WND was at the scene to get crowd reaction and take photos of the protest.

“As many as 2 million protesters attend 9/12 Washington, D.C. Tea Party Rally”

September 13, 1:08 AM Columbia Independent Examiner Darren Pope

Examiner.com

Also a UK p[aper said yesterday on 9/12 they contacted the Department of Homeland Security and was given the number of 2,000,000, and that was an early estimate. Later in the day it was even higher IMHO.

The news coverage on this is very telling... But so what if YAHOO/REUTERS/MSNBC/CNN don’t cover it. No one watches them anyway but the fringe commie minority left.

Even with all of that, I’ve been asking folks around Charlotte, NC if they knew how many people showed up at the protest in Washington on Saturday. The overwhelming response has been, “What Protest?”! Unless the media is won back and the general public educated, this is going to end up in a revolution.

I think the biggest blow we can strike against the lying MSM would be to have EVERY Freeper email pics from the rally to all the people they know, mainly the big crowd shots, and ask them one simple question: "Did your news source tell you about THIS?"

That means the number on the mall itself was significantly lower than the 240k capacity of the ticketed area according to the chart.

Not so sure...in the Promise Keepers, they were limited to the Mall. They had no one on the Capitol grounds. That gives me a figure in the 700k range for the Mall itself.

That means capacity on the Mall is at least double the ticketed areas on the chart.

(I hope I interpreted your question correctly.)

60,000 to 70,000 according to ABC News

So Alphabits News is sticking by the story that there were more people at the OSU vs USC football game than in DC Saturday? Yeah, that's a credible "news" organ ...

Looks like the smartest man in the ever in the world had no idea there was a Tea Party In Washington, DC. Does anyone really believe The One has a clue about anything.

The event was recorded by multiple sources and by most credible accounts there were 700,000 to over a million there. The London Daily Mail says it’s the largest crowd ever ti assemble in DC—and that includes The Messiah’s inaugurtion. But our Dear Leader simply pretends it never happened.

Well that’s a cool response. But I bet those commmie bums have finally gotten a rude awakening as to the mood of the country. I bet their getting together in their soviet-like little polit cells. They’re trying to understand why anyone would spend their own money and travel from as far away as Hawaii—and everywhere in between—to attend a Tea Party in the Capitol.

Okay, so the distance from 14th street to the Capital is 1.4 miles. Just using a rough calculation to allow for spacing, that means there are 20 acres between 14th and the Capital.

If 20,000 people can fit into an acre for say the 4th of July and they are sitting still, then we can safely say that there were 15,000 people walking, per acre, up Pennsylvania Avenue.

so 20 acres x 15,000 people= 300,000 in a single snapshot at the apogee of full participation.

In a crowd it would take 20+ minutes to walk 1.4 miles. In the video the walk begins at the 9 second mark with the apogee beginning at the 21 second mark and is reduced or ended at the 34 second mark, with the video completing at the 38 second mark.

So could some smart person who know how to use an abacus tell me how many people walked up Pennsylvania avenue using the above numbers.

I know that 300,000 did at the apogee but how many followed?

So just a rough guess would show that at least 600,000 people walked down Pennsylvania Avenue.  That figure would a baseline number for how many were actually in Washington for the Tea Party.

I know that the Mall can hold as many as 1.4 million people and it was packed!.  So how many more were there?  How many Tea Parties were held across America and what were their counts?

I will bet, at the end of the day, that as many as 4 million people Nationwide stood up for their country.

Oh!  And if any of you trolls want to swing by, on this post, with your ridiculous assumption that is was "tens of thousands", You are idiots.

I have been to 4 Independance Days in D.C. and I know the counts are on the order of 500,000 Americans being awed by the fireworks, in the capital of their country.  The amount of people who participated exceeds a census count of a 4th of July easily.

Another FR link mentioned that the National Park Service has some kind of chart or grid that shows if you have the area between such and such filled you have so many etc.

Based on that chart FReepers were talking between 1.5 and 2 million because the pics showed the area filled and other shots showed there was spillover at other large areas or leftover as in those people couldn’t even get into the area of the main march.

CNN Coverage of the Teaparty (3 pics- 1 Swastika and 1 militia)

I can only say THANK YOU to CNN, MSNBC and any of the alphabet news networks for their coverage of both the tea parties in April and yesterdays coverage of the march on washington.

Without their biased, derogatory, minimialization of the events, none of the turnout we had yesterday would have been possible.

1.6 MILLION people attended tea party rallies in April. We were bashed, trashed, marginalized and laughed at by all the MSM except FNC. That pissed off ALOT of people who were actually there. That sparked enough outrage to cause a firm resolve to follow through to this rally. While the media may have been able to control the airwaves, the people driving by these protests nationwide, plus the ones who attended them and saw the bias in the coverage had the scales fall from their eyes that day. They saw the media for what it actually was.

Now these lowball accounts, with pictures that show ten times that number, are awakening even more folks. It is also outraging more folks. The movement will continue its explosive growth. These are folks of firm resolve, who love their country not their party. Many are not used to being in the marginalized group, and don’t like it one bit. There is no where to hide, and the MSM is looking more and more like bagdad bob with the tanks rolling in behind him as he assured Iraq there was no truth to the rumor that Bagdad was being liberated.

So, from one teabagging, bitter bible clinging, troop supporting, constitution loving, rightwing extremist, THANKS FOR YOUR HELP CNN, MSNBC, AND ALPHABET MEDIA, we could not have gotten the scales off the eyes of the silent, sleeping giant with more speed or precision if we had planned it ourselves!

Not a single word, much less a photo or two, about the Saturday march in today’s Spokane Spokesman-Review. Not one. Scum.

Dude! You are so not even close. In the time elapsed camera going up Pennsylvania Avenue, there are 300,000 people.

As the camera continues, at least another 300-400 thousand pass the camera.

The pictures of the Mall are every bit as dense as a 4th of July and that is on the order of 500,000.

This thing was way bigger and the only reason we can't get an accurate account is because there were no overflights of the area allowed, as per security SOP.
