A country worth fighting for! (Massive crowd pull down B. Hussein's statue in Washington)

The time has come for me to publicly thank Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Obama for doing something in America that hasn't been done since the Revolutionary War. These three amigos have fired up the American people – so much so that they are finally getting involved with their country and government. Continues...

=============================================================

Massive crowd pull down B. Hussein's statue in Washington

In contrast to fake Astroturf, rent-a-mob liberal protesters, Americans attending the Tea Party march on D.C. paid their own way, were fully clothed, have actual jobs and actually pay taxes. Liberals protest for a living.

But there's more! You can tell the massive weekend march was a taxpayers' march because:

-- The media keep lying about the turnout. Just like they keep lying about the number of "uninsured" Americas -- half of them illegal aliens. Hundreds of thousands of actual Americans turned out for the Tea Party march Saturday (making this the largest gathering of real Americans in Washington since Bush's second inaugural), it all happens while cameras are rolling, but the media keep insisting the cameras are liars.

-- Nobody got arrested and there was no looting and rioting.

-- Garbage wasn't strewn all over the place. The protest area was cleaner AFTER the march than before. When liberals protest, inevitably they bring a swarm of flies along and, after the smelly event, it takes a week to collect all the trash on the ground. It's as if the streets were their home. Oh wait, they are. Even when the event isn't a protest, these clean-Earth champions are careful to litter the whole place with mounds of empty soda cans, plastic water bottles, coffee cups, food, food trays, straws, Twinkie wrappers, posters and used condoms. Such as in the wake of Obama's inaugural. In fairness, liberals point out that, when it comes to personal hygiene, they at least bathe once a week.

-- Unlike liberal protest events, there were American flags there! Hundreds of thousands of them. No Hamas flags or North Korean flags or Kim Jong Il t-shirts anywhere and the signs weren't written by representatives from SEIU and ACORN. There were no signs saying, 'Please Tread On Me', 'Obama Never Lies!', 'Hands on my body!', 'Spread the wealth!', 'More bailouts, please!', '34 Czars are not enough!', 'Don't quit spending!', 'Even the NAZIS had death panels -- why not us?'. Also, there was no bong smoke and there were no intellectually stimulating "Hey! Hey! Ho! Ho!" chants.

-- In contrast to libbie protesters, who get bused in from D.C. to stage rallies in D.C., the Tea Party protesters came from Florida, Michigan, Kansas, Alabama, California, Colorado, Georgia and the rest of the 57 states.

Showing how amazingly on-message the Democrats aren't, today Obama will be in New York to give a speech about how he saved the economy by giving speeches and press conferences. He also insists that everyone stands to lose health care under the current awful economy he saved. And while Obama turns his failed efforts to "financial reform", Democrats in the House are threatening to distract themselves for another week, warning Joe Wilson that unless he offers another apology for the same thing, Pelosi will make him stay after school! With Nancy trailing in polls against the swine flu, Joe Wilson rode the Joe-mentum to rack up over a million bucks in campaign donations. But to push Congress's stellar approval ratings even lower, the Democrat leadership plans to propose a resolution of disapproval Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday which is a badge of honor and puts re-election in the bag for Wilson.

Making matters worse, now even Osama is losing faith in Obama. So sad! In a taped message released yesterday, Osama called Obama "powerless", a wimp, just a new version of Bush-lite, and blamed the Afghan and Iraq warmongering on big corporations and the Jews -- reiterating word-for-word what he frequently posts at DailyKos.

But, not to worry. Any day now House Majority Whip James Clyburn will call on racist Osama to apologize -- or face a devastating resolution of disapproval. Provided it includes a strong or robust public option.

Last week was supposed to be the week that Obama broke out the Kool-Aid again and "reasserted" control of the debate with his poorly-watched speech, but instead it looks like Obama got owned on Saturday. After fleeing to Minnesota, he tried again to prop up the flailing Deathcare plan with panels and all via . . . another speech. His flacks have gone all Baghdad Bob, insisting these hundreds of thousands of taxpayers are merely "tens of thousands" and do not represent "mainstream America", which consists of lobbyists, fawning "reporters" and Goldman Sachs. But the newly-awakened giant isn't going back to sleep -- and will be back with tens of millions of Joe Wilsons if Congress didn't get the message this time.

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

This is a picture of the Tea party. Notice the flag at half mast(besides the other picture the dimwits are floating looks different). The dimwits are trying to say this picture, a picture taken from a live camera at the event, was somehow faked and they are floating another picture from a different event trying to say it is fake and proves we faked all the 9/12 pictures. They are truly insane.

I was there with Mrs. exit82.

Having been at a few large rallies in DC, my estimate was about 700,000 for the size of the crowd.

It was hard to guess because the area in front of the Capitol has a lot of trees plus a large reflecting pond that split up the crowd. If we had the Mall(there was a simultaneous Black Family Reunion event going on about seven blocks west so we could not)the crowd could have stayed together and more easily counted.

It was exhilarating. I wish all the Freepers could have been there—you would have felt right at home with these great people.

Hey P73,
I stood at the Grant statue for most of the duration of the rally.
The estimates of 1.1 to 2 million are an extreme exaggeration.

When a football stadium fills to 80,000 people, that’s huge.
To say that there were at least “15” stadiums of 80,000 participants for the “lower estimation” is a bit of a stretch.

Flame away. I’ll stick to my “guess-timate” of 250,000 to 400,000 people.

AND THAT’S A HUGE GROUP OF PEOPLE!!!

Is this the picture of "several thousand malcontents" per Robert Gibbs?

Yep...that's the several thousand right there, filling that intersection and the eight lane road for the mile and a half to the capitol in the picture in your post...and the crowd was moving toward the capitol and it stayed full like that for over 2 hours.

Gibbs: A few thousand. Fox said tens of thousands. NBC said (once) hundreds of thousands: The Daily Mail in the UK covered it and said over a million.

Yes, Note that the crowd is curb to curb on Pennsylvania Avenue with others on the sidewalk and that it stretches all the way to third street from Freedom Plaza. I stood on the corner of the building on the left. The crowd streamed by for an hour and a half at least before I started walking up Pennsylvania Ave. For another half and hour Pennsylvania Ave after I got to third street the crowd was walking on half of the Avenue.

The other thing to keep in mind is that rallies were held across the country not just in DC.

"The photos I’ve seen rival those of the inauguration, at which estimates were put at 2 million. An estimate of 1.2 to 1.5 million would be a conservative one, IMHO."

I just heard Rush report that the Park Service says "BIGGEST demonstration EVER." and estimates the crowd size at around 1.8 million.

It sure was good to see you, Bill, M-PI, and the rest of the Florida Gang!!!

I ducked out of the hotel with the intentions of visiting the Jefferson Memorial. The roads were all clogged up with police and... ugh... runners.

So I took some pictures of the Iwo Jima Memorial for my Dad, got back in the car, and drove up to Gettysburg. I haven’t been there in years. It’s still a very moving place.

See y’all next time.

...and there WILL be a next time. Our elected officials don’t get the message the first time ‘round.

Best to Each & All!
