I just spend this lovely Sunday organizing and editing close to 500 photos from yesterday's historic march in DC. I am still inspired by the sheer joy expressed by the million marchers in DC.Can we say this is the Woodstock for conservatives? Absolutely. I'd even say if MLK were alive, he would be out marching to the Capitol with the people and give a rocking speech.
Several impressions I took home from the Rally:
A million plus attendees is my estimate of the crowd size. Compare the official crowd estimator from the 2009 Inauguration (fig. 1) to the screen cap taken of the crowds (fig. 2) yesterday. I will say there were more patriots yesterday than fans at the January 20th inauguration. Metro police say 1.2 million and they would know a thing or two about crowd counts.
El Marco posted some great photos that speak to the size of this crowd.
I traveled to DC via a chartered bus from West Chester - I have to give kudos to Paula Stiles for taking the initiative to organize this bus trip. I must admit that it was good to be on the bus instead of being thrown under the bus. Our group arrived at Union Station and Dee and myself made our way to Freedom Square where we came upon a massive amount of people:

For a moment or two, I didn't know where to start photographing. I got over that real quick and shot almost 500 photos on Saturday, not including video.
More of the story below the fold: Wading through the crowd, we found ourselves swept away by the mass movement of people marching to the Capitol:

99.9 percent of the signs were hand made and held proudly:
The mood of the crowd was that of sheer delight, as many of the participants have never participated in a public rally. Yet here they were in Washington DC, marching with a million fellow patriots to the front lawn of the Capitol Building. You could sense a carefree joy as the marchers realized they were making history and that they were not alone in their beliefs. Waves of rolling chants from the back of the line to the front energized the crowd and gave me goosebumps.
One detail I keep noticing as I walked along were that some of the marchers donned t-shirts signed with numerous names:

And we left everything noticeably cleaner as well compared to the inaugural gathering.
The trash the Obamites placed outside the white house is not the problem.
Here are 4 videos I took from the March on Washington. It was a great day, I met so many people.

“what does the snake stand for”
A rattlesnake is harmless unless you mess with it. Then it will kill you. As a Texan you should know that :)
I LOVE JOE WILSON TOO! PLEASE JOE TAKE BACK YOUR APOLOGY!
We are on The Bridge now.
And you know what else?
THEY ARE APPROACHING IT.
AND
THEY ..... ARE ..... NOT.... GOING .... PASS.
Next time we will have TWO MILLION if they dont listen to us, their masters, The PEOPLE. All it will take is for each person who was there to get three or four or more of their family, friends, neighbors or co-workers to attend.
It WAS a great day to be an American patriot. We have this Chicago punk on the run, but he will turn and come back at us. We have to stay in fighting mode because they will never stop.
Am catching up while I have the time.
I believe I heard tonight at 8EST.
Might want to double check.
I watched it on CSPAN,pretty good.
A dear friend bought tickets to Woodstock in 1969 for my birthday and we went not needing any tickets . Between 3 to 5 hundred thousand showed up as well . The 9/12 Tea Party which I also participated in would have made four Woodstocks easily . I’m so proud to be called a homegrown terrorist by the communist in our country .

Thanks for the ping.
King’s ties with the Communist Party are murky, and any reliable information is still sealed up either way.
There is a great deal of speculation - probably because “we are known by the company we keep”. As at least two of King’s closest advisors were known communists, one can’t help but at least speculate.
Of course, King was willing to work with pretty much anyone who was willing to stand up for civil rights - and the Communists were among the loudest supporters of civil rights.

Obam a adviser: Protesters wrong about health-care reform.
An except from CNN (Communist (News (Network)
(CNN) President Barack Obama's top political adviser had a blunt message Sunday for protesters who took part in a Tea Party rally the day before in Washington: "They're wrong" on health care.
"The president made it very, very clear that he wants to build on the system that we have," rather than create a vast new system, David Axelrod told CBS' "Face the Nation."
Axelrod said the reform would bring changes that benefit those with health coverage and those who can't afford it or lose it.
"We ought to focus on what it's about and not on distortions of it," Axelrod said of the president's plan. Tens of thousands of people gathered outside Congress on Saturday to protest against health-care proposals favored by Obama that they fear will further increase government spending and expand government to the detriment of the economy and personal freedoms.
The protesters railed against what they called a planned government takeover of health care and other costly programs, such as the $787 billion economic stimulus program.
Many carried posters comparing the government to Nazi Germany or depicting Obama as an African witch doctor.
Axelrod said he does not believe the demonstration was "indicative of the nation's mood." He added, "One of the great things about our country is people can express themselves even if they're not representative of the majority."
The program also showed a clip of an interview with Obama that will be broadcast Sunday night on "60 Minutes." In it, the president mentioned a "coarsening" of political dialogue in the United States illustrated by a Republican congressman shouting "you lie" during Obama's speech to Congress last week and the angry claims of the Tea Party protests.
"I will also say that in the era of 24-hour cable news cycles that the loudest, shrillest voices get the most attention," Obama said in the clip. " One of the things that I'm trying to figure out is, you know, how can we make sure that civility is interesting."
Saturday's march leading to the Capitol stretched for blocks on the final day of the Tea Party Express' cross-country bus tour, which began August 28 in Sacramento, California.
The tour included rallies in about 30 cities. An official crowd estimate for Saturday's protest was not available, but reporters at the scene described the crowd as in the tens of thousands.
The Tea Party movement gained momentum this year, with protests against Obama and the Democrats' economic stimulus plans held across the country. Now, the focus of group whose name stands for Taxed Enough Already is on health-care reform.
The Tea Party Express tour was funded by Our Country Deserves Better, a conservative political action committee. However, the Tea Party Express calls itself nonpartisan.
Members from conservative groups such as Freedom Works, run by former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, participated in Saturday's rally.

Of course they're closed. The truth can't be told to a closed mind.
First comment is from "J"
"President Obama is a very nice man, He is the type of a person who is willing to try his very best to keep peace and working to better solution for all the problems we have today.
I believe that he is not a push over.
This man has a nerve of steel, and tougher than many people think.
He is strong enough to handle things throwing his way.
It is not very often to find someone with all these quality all in one person.
Give the man a chance to do his job! and I am sure that America would be able to get back on their feet in no time."
""President Obama is a very nice man..."
According to some things I've read, socially so was Hitler. Does that change what he truly was?
"It is not very often to find someone with all these quality all in one person."
Does he also walk on water & raise the dead?
"Give the man a chance to do his job!"
I've said this before about anyone in government. Whether republican, democrat or independent. If its not strictly authorized in the enumerated powers of the constitution for the United States, then its unconstitutional.
Its not the "job" of the President of the United States or the Federal government or the State government or any government agency whatsoever to be in competition with any private industry.
As far as health care is concerned, maybe if the courts would stop listening to all these damned ambulance chasers and their frivolous law suits, that would be a start in reducing health care costs .
Government interference has risen costs to point of ridiculousness as it is now, more government would only raise costs more. Insurance companies are also to blame. In the old days people paid for most of their doctor bills out of pocket. For one thing, people didnt run to the doctor every time they had a booboo. I used to have catastrophic insurance for only 150 per year. My deductible was $3,000. I dont have it anymore because government intervention and meddling have risen costs to where I can not longer afford it.

These tea-party protesters are too ignorant to know that this HC reform is for their own benefit.
I wonder if Hitler made a similar remark while speaking to the masses?
Hitler's political program was a vague collection of promises that led each societal group to believe it would be the primary beneficiary of the Nazi government. He promised relief for the unemployed, protection of private property against the communist threat, profits for large businesses, and survival for small businesses. These promises addressed the most important reason for Hitler's ascent to power: the economic depression that wracked Germany during the inter-war years. This is demonstrated most clearly by the lack of growth in the Nazi Party between 1925 and 1928, a period of relative prosperity during which the Party actually lost three seats in the Reichstag. Luckily for Hitler, the 1930s brought depression to Germany, and one out of every two German families was affected by unemployment. As the leader of the frustrated and disillusioned, Hitler reaped the political benefits.
Hitler's T4 Program Revived in Obama's Health-Care `Reform'
by Nancy Spannaus
An excerpt from EIR
In July of 1939, a conference of medical professionals was held in Berlin, Germany. Participating were the professors and chairmen of the departments of psychiatry of the leading universities and medical schools of Germany, many of them, the most respected professionals in their fields. The subject? What would be the criteria for determining what patients would be considered to have "lives unworthy to be lived," and what was the most "practical and cheap" manner of removing them from being burdens on the health-care systemby death.
Thus, the bureaucratic machine began to be cranked up for what is known as Adolf Hitler's program of genocide through "euthanasia," a program which killed hundreds of thousands of non-Jewish Germans, and eventually, millions of Jews and non-Germans as well.
That program, which had already begun years before, against concentration camp inmates and handicapped children, was officially put into effect in October 1939, when Hitler penned his own personal, and secret, authorization for the program, under the title, "The Destruction of Lives Unworthy of Life":
Reichsleiter Bouhler and Dr. Brandt are charged with the responsibility for expanding the authority of physicians, to be designated by name, to the end that patients considered incurable according to the best available human judgment of their state of health, can be accorded a mercy death.
To carry out this program, Hitler and his fiendish Nazi associates would fully utilize the "professional" apparatus which had been put in place, as well as the popular, British-eugenics-spawned ideology which had been increasingly dominant in Germany since Hitler seized power with the aid of powerful British-Wall Street financiers. The killing would proceed with the utmost "cost-effectiveness" and professionalism, in order to save funds for the Nazi state's preferred projects, and not waste them on "ineffective" medical treatments.
If that sounds familiar, it should. For the proposals which the Obama Administration has currently put on the table, follow them in virtual lockstep. First, the "experts" decide what is "effective" care, with "cost-effectiveness" foremost in mind, ruling out "inappropriate" treatments. These standards become the law, in terms of what medical care will be paid for. Then other experts efficiently implement those decisions, through the existing hospital apparatus.
I guess our forefathers were wrong about king George III too.
After all he so loved his subjects.
"King George III...had large debts to pay, and thought he could extract the necessary money from the colonies. King George was incensed when the insolent American colonists objected to the taxes being levied,...King George thought the colonists should be dealt with harshly for their disobedience and insolence. Using his profound influence, he pushed through the Townshend Acts, in 1766, taxing many commodity items including tea resulting in the infamous Boston Tea Party..."
Excellent.
Wow, thanks for that great photo in #28! There was some "Black Family Reunion" on the Mall near the Washington Monument, and the 9/12 marchers weren't supposed to be in that area. Hence, that prevented "our" crowd to fill the entire area between the Capitol and the Washington Monument.
But what your photo in #28 shows (partially, anyway), was that 9/12 marchers filled the areas off to the side, including side streets off the main area of the rally. It was just incredible.
And after the event was over, 1 million or so patriots left the area SPOTLESS.
