Ron Miller: Barack and Me
The American Thinker ^ | September 13, 2009 | Ron Miller

Posted on 09/13/2009 1:02:59 PM PDT by EveningStar

I've been a committed conservative and, with the exception of one year where I listed myself as an independent, a registered Republican since 1978. What makes that rather unremarkable statement more intriguing is that I'm an American who happens to be black.

Another thing Barack ISN’T...is black, in the sense of American black man. He’s the child of a privileged white hippie and a privileged foreign African graduate student, who was both a Marxist and a Muslim, who grew up (as both a Marxist and a Muslim) mostly outside of the United States and has had to learn how to recast himself as “African American.”

All he is doing is exploiting black Americans.

In the beginning, Miller was nearly drawn into mass hysteria but woke up somewhere in the middle of the koolaid line because he wanted the “black” candidate to be the answer. Glad he realized his mistake before it was too late.

Some of us had Hussein pegged as a used car salesman the first time he set foot on the national stage.

Yes, I would date that from the time he drew attention at the 2004 Democratic Convention when he was still a State Senator from Illinois and was tapped to give a podium speech.

Once he came on the radar and was exposed for his electoral shenanigans in Illinois (throwing a rival Black poitician under the bus to get on the ticket and exposing his Republican rival's nasty divorce through influence at the Chicago Times, and being the sole voter several times to leave aborted-alive babies in the closet to die), yeah, I had his measure.

Punk.

Perfectly stated - From the article:

****I believe that government is designed to defend our nation from foreign attack, provide for public safety, enforce the law and deliver equal justice for all. Beyond that, I do not want government to dictate to me how to raise my children, how much I can or can’t earn, or the causes to which I can contribute.

I don’t believe in enforced charity and I believe a government that does too much not only takes our freedom, but also our will to achieve and our desire to give, rendering us morally indolent.****

Very excellent and thoughtful article!

I am white but I didn’t look at Obama as a black man! I just disagree with the policies he has advocated.

After reading of his background (what there of it) I decided he is a dangerous man and did not deserve my vote.
I was reluctant to vote for John McCain but Sarah Palin really spoke for me, and it is my hope she will be a candidate for the Presidency in 2012.

Newt Gingrich, in spite of many considerin him of too much baggage, certainly has a brilliant mind and would make a good President. However he would also make a good VP or some important cabinet post.

Ron Miller has written a very thoughtful article.

I once said something similiar about Bill Clinton but a few more years of maturing made me realize it was a grievious and uncalled for insult...............TO USED CAR SALESMEN!

From the linked article: "The fact that, since 1973, it [abortion] has killed more black people than all other causes of death in the black community combined is the cruelest of ironies. "

I hope for the day when a changed black community will recognize that abortion has constituted genocide against Blacks. If the Black community demanded executions for those who permitted this atrocity, I am not sure that I could articulate how they would be wrong to demand it.

The fact that Obama is black is or should be totally irrelevant. It’s what’s between his ears, his history, how his house was paid for, the people surrounding him, his mentors, twenty years of sitting and applauding Reverend Wright, the fact that none of his school records have been made public. The lack of a legal birth certificate. His association with Acorn. The fact that the Saudi’s paid for a new building at Harvard just before Obama was accepted into the law school, that he was made editor of the Law Review and never wrote a single article.

His history smells to high heaven. Not to mention the constant lies, the czars cleverly appointed to avoid scrutiny of the senate. The fact that he still can’t find a church to attend. That he didn’t invite Jewish and Christian leaders to the WH as is customary. His handling of 9/11. His bow to that Saudi prince. His middle name is Hussein, and he uses it when it suits him.

Democrats should have had second thoughts during the primaries when in one speech, he gave Hillary the finger in and in another, mocked John McCain’s war injuries.
