You may need to be a Babylon 5 fan... but then again, maybe not.
Maybe Rep. Wilson should "apologize" like Sheridan "apologizes" in the Babylon 5 episode "The Fall of Night" (here, just after 33 minutes). The context is that a hostile race had prepared to fire on Commander Sheridan's space-station, Babylon 5, a sort of intergalactic UN in space. Sheridan had responded with deadly force, and the ship had exploded.
After that, an Earth envoy cut from the Neville Chamberlain mold had told Sheridan that he was ordered to make an apology for the incident — to the aliens who had tried to attack Babylon 5.
Here's what Sheridan (played by Bruce Boxleitner) composed:
Capt. John Sheridan: [practicing his "apology"] I apologize... I'm sorry.[exhales]
Capt. John Sheridan: I'm sorry we had to defend ourselves against an unwarranted attack. I'm sorry that your crew was stupid enough to fire on a station filled with a quarter million civilians, including your own people. And I'm sorry I waited as long as I did before I blew them all straight to Hell!... As with everything else, it's the thought that counts.

Obama: “Apologize for that!”
Wilson: “I’m sorry that you’re a liar.”
My suggestion:
Madame Speaker, esteemed collegues, I AM SORRY THAT PRESIDENT OBAMA LIED.
He should let Pelosi bury herself with her demands. Wilson owes her nothing. It’s hell when you tell the truth and Wilson did just that. When Pelosi makes her demands in the House, Wilson should just sit there and smile. Let her rant and make a fool of herself. She’ll be out of office pretty soon anyway. This may just make it happen sooner.
Yes, just tell the Democrats to ‘stuff it’.
Joe needs to read the provision in the bill that proves obama lied. then sit down.

If he’s supposed to apologize to the full house, he should apologize for not doing it sooner. They wasted many hours trying to get language inserted that would close those loopholes, to no avail. Joe utter two words and got it done virtually overnight.
Yes I apologize to the American people for the Speakers lack of integrity and Charlie Rangel’s as well. I spoke up and told the truth and am speaking up now and telling the truth.
I ask that Charlie be stripped from the Ways and Means and come to the well and apologize if not resign the office. He has disgraced his office much more than I ever have and ever will.

I’ve never heard of Joe Wilson until he did this. Now he’s achieving Celebrity status. And Pelosi’s so stupid that she’s putting him in the spotlight even more.
Right now, he’s probably writing up a 22 page speech. That would be a mistake. He needs to write one SENTENCE. Then he won’t be misquoted by the MSM, and his message will be loud and clear.
Here’s my suggestion for his one sentence apology:
Madame Speaker, I am being compelled to repeat the apology I made to President Obama when I said that he lied, and it looks like from this article (holds up article like this one below) that my apology was unnecessary then and now.

"Speaker Pelosi, I apologize for joining in the Democrats' lack of decorum during President Obama's speech. I apologize that their out-of-control partisan demonstrations moved me to make a lone counter from the other side. I regret that so few of us are finding appropriate, effective ways of countering President Obama's lies. I am sorry that such a torrent of deception is met with such a trickle of opposition. And I promise to do better, plainer, clearer, louder and more effectively in the future."
If he gets in front of all Congress and says he refuses to apologize again, that would be a memorable one-liner. The trick here is to use this spotlight to his own advantage, and he should know that the spotlight will last only about 30 seconds.
Wilson’s apology should include that he’s sorry about being in a legislative body where a tax cheat chairs the committee writing tax law...
