Great, short Video!
A short streaming report from the the national news tonight, here in Tokyo, and run throughout the country seen by countless MILLIONS of Japanese viewers.
Shows a bunch of Washington D.C. Tea Party participants' placard signs yesterday, starting with the march yell, "You work for us!", "You work for us!", some of them with signs insulting of Obama and very funny. NHK said the crowd of Americans in Washington was MASSIVE. Also intimated that nearly 1/2 of Americans now oppose Obama.
Video is HERE.
This will probably stream for a day or two.
TOPICS: Culture/Society; Front Page News; Government; Japan; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: dcteaparty; japan; marchondc; obama; obamacare; socialism; teaparties; teaparty; teapartyexpress
NHK is the major Japanese, government run public national TV station, seen here throughout the country with a very high viewership. Enjoy the foreign news coverage of the rally and march, which a lot of the US MSM, because of their SO OBVIOUS agendae it isnt even funny, slant the domestic US news or give scant coverage and/or ridicule (like CNN tried to do in Chicago) or understate the size and strength.
NHK did have to show Obama at the end (OK, fair), but they also said he is going to try to somehow recover things using his skillful speech oratory. LOL. They observed 1/2 of Americans are no longer with him on this issue.

Japanese Government media. Doing the news coverage that American “Mainstream” media just won’t do. FUB.

Was talking with a co-worker in India (I work in IT afterall) who was shocked at the concept of the government being accountable to the people.

Also in IT here. The idea of the government being accountable to the people is such a uniquely American Idea. That's why the country is being flooded with third worlders - illegal and legal - to overwhelm our culture.
I remember during the 'hanging chad' controversy explaining the separation of powers, why 3 branches, and how powers now enumerated in the constitution as federal were reserved for the states - to newly minted citizens. I was surprised that one could pass the citizenship test without this knowledge, and heartened by the fact they all got the importance of not centralizing all power.

Thanks for posting . I was wondering how the rest of the world was reporting the march. I saw an article from England listing the crowd size as ~ 2 Mill.

Hard to argue whether Rahm is actually a puppet master or merely a tool of a tool.

Bump for an old thread--four months old to be exact, for NHK is in fact present this week in Nashville, Tennessee for the big Tea Party event, and is covering it along with many other worldwide media outlets.
Will try to see if anything shows up in the nightly news as well as (probably) whether they air in in-depth documentary about grassroots America's big anti-Obama backlash of 2010.
