Even though the DC protest was much, much, bigger every little bit still helps. I did not see any SRM coverage so all the more reason to cover the one that happened in Phoenix today! Lots of flags and love of country on display . It happened in front of the State Senate.
If they continue to ignore us using the first they will eventually see us use the 2nd amendment.

This young Right Wing astroturf terrorist was selling Obama pirate flags. It was an inflated price but I bought one anyway.

I include this picture because the legislature was closed today and It would have been very convenient for citizens to use in the protest. It was closed.
As can be seen it had plenty of room for the people to use (you can barely make them out lining the street here). Of course it's denied use is so typical of the very thing we expect from government.
Is it just me or are these fellows posing in front of the wrong flag?
I have plenty more but I suppose that's enough pictures for now.
Vote Stupid
I was there for most of it. It was well worth going to in spite of the heat...lots of good signs and it was interesting to listen to the Q&A session with GOP Senators Russell Pearce et. al.. Good pictures by the way.

We need to use the ballot box and not firearms to change things. If America is a center right country it needs to vote like it or we deserve what we get.
Hinting that firearms will be used is not good. There are much better options than that to turn this around. It’s the ballot box, not bullets, that will fix our country. If people upset with this administration and congress don’t go to the polls they deserve what we get.
The 2010 election needs to be the shot heard round the world. I am hopeful the tea parties and like-minded people can prevent congress from passing this crap until we can change things next November.

Here's another one for you. I used a photo manipulation program called GIMP . It's actually patched pieces from 5 different pictures.(Gimp is FREE by the way)
While I was there a veteran mentioned out load that people should visit the 911 memorial just down the mall. I did so, not knowing it was even there. I would have gone there yesterday as it became quite apparent to me that shadow was made to line up exactly on the moment the towers went down. My contribution is nothing like those great souls.
Digital pictures are great! You can waste hundreds of pictures and keep the few that got what you wanted or edit them after that! ( Looks like Jeff Head got his great work displayed here. I'm jealous ! Click on the picture to see much more. )
