ACORN Sting Filmmaker May Face State Charges (amazing, this really is now a fascist nation)

James O'Keefe's foray into filmmaking may cost him a few years in the slammer.

O'Keefe and fellow conservative activist/budding investigative journalist Hannah Giles were the ones who dressed up like a pimp and a prostitute, respectively (or not), and went to the offices of the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN) in D.C. and Baltimore looking for advice on how to buy a house.

The resulting video caused quite a commotion and resulted in the firing of four ACORN employees, as well as other repercussions for those who support the organization.

In Maryland, it's against the law to tape a person without their prior permission. It's also illegal to "willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio," Baltimore City State Attorney Patricia Jessamy said in a statement released late Friday.

She added: "The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to five years."

The Baltimore City State Attorney's Office is investigating the matter.

The question is whether they will actually go through with it. They might not. ut there is a lack of respect for first amendment rights that’s evident here.

Jury Trial. Need one conservative out of 12. They only have so many objections. They’ll get one on the jury and it’s over. OJ knows. First thing any good lawyer does and takes it away from inner city out to the burbs.

It’s really just “Street Theater”.

That’s good Paladin2
I’m sure they can find a code for that too.

You’re right, he could also be a Sociopath as he seems to have all 15 “attributes”

1. Contemptuous of those who seek to understand them
2. Does not perceive that anything is wrong with them
3. Authoritarian
4. Secretive
5. Paranoid
6. Only rarely in difficulty with the law, but seeks out situations where their tyrannical behavior will be tolerated, condoned, or admired
7. Conventional appearance
8. Goal of enslavement of their victim(s)
9. Exercises despotic control over every aspect of the victim’s life
10. Has an emotional need to justify their crimes and therefore needs their victim’s affirmation (respect, gratitude and love)
11. Ultimate goal is the creation of a willing victim
12. Incapable of real human attachment to another
13. Unable to feel remorse or guilt
14. Extreme narcissism and grandiose
15. May state readily that their goal is to rule the world

(The above traits are based on the psychopathy checklists of H. Cleckley and R. Hare.)

If she even tries this will she be equipped to go against the caliber of the Lawyers who will defend this filmmaker Pro-Bono? I imagine the paperwork and appeals would literaly destroy the creditability of the office...

My guess there will be no charges, the backlash alone will be more then they could handle. ACORN and the Rats just wamts to to go away.

Don’t worry: the ACLU will defend...

Well surely journalists will voice concern for this infringement of free press...

Well the artistic community will protest this DA...

...um, well I guess this filmmaker is totally f**ked. Probably should have carried the liberal line.

"good one. cameras are everywhere."

But, everyone has been told those cameras are there. They are not hidden and not against the law.

This should be taken all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.

Those people filmed were representing ACORN, a tax-funded enterprise, not private individuals. We should be able expose misuse of our tax dollars without fear of going to jail!

Don’t want to see the kids hassled for bringing criminal enterprises to light.

However; if MD idiots persist, I will SAVOR the discovery process.

Some excellent stuff on State's Attorney Patricia Jessamy has been uncovered, it is in video form. Glenn Beck now has it thanks to yours truly. I have refrained from posting here just yet. If she goes the nuclear option on these two, this is going to be very very embarrassing in HER face.

I dare her to try this. Ball is in her court.

I wonder if there is “whistleblower” protection that would negate this issue?

In Maryland, it's against the law to tape a person without their prior permission.

Obviously passed to protect politicians and other favored crooks.

Patty-Baby, you have officially jumped the shark, and it is time to resign and go back home to your family.
