ACORN Sting Filmmaker May Face State Charges (amazing, this really is now a fascist nation)

James O'Keefe's foray into filmmaking may cost him a few years in the slammer.

O'Keefe and fellow conservative activist/budding investigative journalist Hannah Giles were the ones who dressed up like a pimp and a prostitute, respectively (or not), and went to the offices of the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN) in D.C. and Baltimore looking for advice on how to buy a house.

The resulting video caused quite a commotion and resulted in the firing of four ACORN employees, as well as other repercussions for those who support the organization.

In Maryland, it's against the law to tape a person without their prior permission. It's also illegal to "willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio," Baltimore City State Attorney Patricia Jessamy said in a statement released late Friday.

She added: "The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to five years."

The Baltimore City State Attorney's Office is investigating the matter.

I had a neighbor here yesterday and I brought the 57 states up to him.
He had never heard about this so instead of having an argument I went straight to the laptop, went on you tube and showed him in bozo’s words saying this.

His reaction was.

OMG I voted for him but more and more now I realise I made a mistake, I had never even heard of this and My word they said Bush was thick, this guy is really dumb, tell you the truth I am embarrassed to say I voted for this clown .

The word is getting out slowly but surely regardless of the state run media trying to cover bozo’s words and agenda up.

Just keep getting the word out even if your local Dem office has stayed open after the election and is still trying to recruit more to their cult and putting stickers on cars.

true but what pisses me off is where on earth is the GOP shouting about this and calling out the media on their live cameras to their audience on how they fail to report this amongst other issues.

The GOP should be at every turn calling out the journalist on live camera over their bias and asking them why they fail to report this, why they fail to cover the dropped charges of the black racists at a voting place etc etc etc.

If the media did their job, media what a joke they should be embarrassed at the way they fail to do their job. then bozo would be under 30%

after watching the election campaign I came tot he conclusion that conservative women are beautiful for the most part compared to the left leaning ugly trolls.

The liberal women just look scruffy, no class, ragged and many look like young boys .
Where as the liberal men are all looking like pansies or aging hippies.

Well, Lindsay Graham would certainly qualify as a pansy.

For the sake of the young people who undertook this, I hope they are NOT prosecuted. It would be a terrible ordeal for them. The backlash is coming along nicely already without damaging these brave kids.

Yeah, they should be, but most of the congressional GOP are either a bunch of country club wusses or just plain wusses. Except for a handful or so, they are useless cowards.

Gets more bizarre by the minute. Some DU`ers are claiming the ACORN employees did`nt violate any laws, and that they did`nt do anything bad. But they say O`Keefe and Giles should be prosecuted to the max for not only violating the employees rights, but also for attempting to set up an international child prostitution ring.

It’s called communist intimidation. Or, the best intimidation the communists can muster in this country, for now, anyway.

They won’t send them to jail but they will let this sit out there long enough to make others who might try something similar think twice.

I swear, it won’t belong before there’s real physical war over stuff like this. And to tell you the truth, part of me welcomes it.

Her case took place in Howard County, which is west of and not contiguous with Baltimore City; the county seat is Ellicott City. As I recall, it was a ‘Rat who was the state’s attorney in Howard County that tried to prosecute her.

An obvious response to this is to start making citizen’s arrests of journalists and cameramen for ‘mainstream’ media outlets operating in Maryland when they film just about anyone.

Oh, and how about surveillance cameras? Unless every single one of them has a notice that one consents to be filmed by entering the building, I’ll bet plenty of Maryland state government buildings, business in Maryland, and the like are in violation of this absurd statute.

Haven't read all of posts yet but if these two get into real trouble, I predict more "tens of thousands" marching on D.C.

My apologies if this has been posted...its been a tough weekend. Heh....I'm trying to catch up!

Under the relevant statute, those devices are specifically legal. See Md. Code, Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article, Section 10-402.

Will the fact that they exposed all kinds of criminal activity negate the felony they might face for recording or have anything to do with lowering their sentencing if they are prosecuted?

Again, my apologies if this has already been posted. Think I'll read whole thread before posting anything else!

It’s really just “Street Theater”.

Yes, they can code themselves as "Performance Artists."

Let ‘em try it. I really doubt they will.

Me either. Slow but sure, I think the ACORN story is unravelling---even with the LameStream Media covering for them.

Unbelievability upon Unbelievability
h/t Jacksonian Lawyer's Blog
Ms. Jessamy’s bio includes that she was a member of the “Governor’s Council On Child Abuse” from 1995-1998.  Apparently, during those three years, Ms. Jessamy failed to grasp the concept that the issues of child-sex-trade and child prostitution are (rightly) believed by many to also fall within the ambit of “child abuse.”  So much for that Governor’s Council if all such “members” operate with the same set of apparent sensibilities and perspectives as those exhibited by Ms. Jessamy.

Making this situation even worse is the fact that Ms. Jessamy proclaims she is the “President, Board of Directors” of the “Baltimore Child Abuse Center, Inc. (a child advocacy program)” which has as its mission “Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse” and that they are “…committed to ending child sexual abuse in Maryland.”

Scandal outfits?

Uh oh...I liked the sun dressy dress for hot summer-weather-wearing! I'd love to trip out my husband and my neighbors by gardening in that skimpy little sundress!

Those two kids will have the biggest defense fund in history if their prosecution continues. I think every FReeper and many other conservatives would be overly generous in contributing to their defense.

Yes. I'm up for supporting them and Joe Wilson and FreeRepublic as soon as next payday shows up!
