Please post your updates from D.C. and from news reports here as well as your photos of the day.
Our Walter Reed salute to the troops last night was very well attended. Upwards of 800 people were there over the three-plus hours of the demonstration.
Photos and video taken by This Ain'tHell taken in daylight before the bulk of the crowd showed can be viewed here.
Free Republic 9/11 Candlelight Vigil from Washington DC
C-SPAN generally rebroadcasts events of this nature several times over the following days and nights...you don’t want to miss it!
He is an honest Democrat.
Back in 2004, he lamented on FNC that the Democratic Party that he had joined was gone.
I had one TV on Beck and the other on C-span.
“you cant borrow your way out of debt”
It’s going to be real hard for the media to hide the fact that between 1 and 2 million people marched on the capital today.
Lucky you! Green with envy sitting out here in West TX.
God Bless all you guys, I am so proud, so happy for this day.
Police officials declined to release a crowd estimate, but the number of protesters along the route appeared to number well into the tens of thousands.
First they say 1.2 million and now they won’t release the estimate ... right. tens of thousand by a multiplier of what?
Thank you! If I can’t be in DC, I can be reporting it as it happens!
Woot!
lol I hate it when I do that. Maybe I should have posted ‘so that’s why they stink’. :-p (thnx)
No, I think he has an indoor golf course in one of the under ground bunkers they have set up for the President in case of Nuclear attack. He will go shoot a few rounds of golf and come back tomorrow when he doesn't have to face the nasty voters:)
I just got back from the march. Just heard Fox say there were “tens of thousands”. Waaaayyyyyy more than that. It was hard to tell for sure but I’d say at a minimum there were several hundred thousand. Way, way more than any anti-war protests we’ve seen in DC. It would not surprise me at all if there were more than a million. It was hard to tell when standing in the middle of the “mob”. Mike Pence was great, btw.
What people?
Associated Press is what is the problem with modern US "Journalism" everyone takes the feed from AP wire and then simply regurgitates it as their "news".
Problem is most of the top people at AP have direct links with the Democrat National Committee. Thus what you get reported as "news" everywhere in the USA is a regurgitation of the thinking of people who run the Democrat National Committee.
Some smart Conservative should start up a counter to AP and get Fox should to dump AP so we finally get some real journalism in this country again.
Baby napping. Got about 30 minutes, if that. Been watching this all day. She learned a new word today. FREEDOM! And she was yelling it with me waving her fist in the air. It was the most awesome thing, her baby voice...FEEDUMMMMMM!!!!
I am so proud to see this. Wish I could be there.
Remember there are millions of us who could not attend but we are here for everyone there.
The entire city of Washington wasn't LARGE enough to host the number of people that wanted to attend..? Holy crow! A story in itself...
Ours is a free country. The capital belongs to all of us. LET THEM IN!
I love the see-through teleprompter posters!
And I posted in BIG BOLD FONT.. (shaking head)
Protesters signed a banner as the group gathered in Freedom Plaza, near the White House.
