My sister and her husband are attending the march and the gathering. Evne though they aren't participating in the FR convention, they're out there visiting our elected officials with varying means of success.

I guess if you aren’t a minority, this prejudiced woman doesn’t believe you can be a constituent of a Dem congressman from Houston.

Okay, I have to admit that when I read the title of the thread, my reaction was: “how did they know there were EXACTLY 912 people there?

I wish I was kidding.

I have to correct you just a bit there sister dear. Senator John Cornyn was not in town, as he is in Texas for 911.

Three ladies on his staff talked to us for about 30 minutes, and were great in answering alot of our concerns.

It was a stark difference going over to Al Green's office. While the lady was cordial, you could tell she did not believe me when I told her we lived in his district.

Hubby signed in to their book and I handed her a "Pink Slip" to give to Mr. Green and as we walked out, I told her that we really are his constituents!

That lady was disgraceful. But, that’s okay, she and her boss are on notice now. You should tweet these encounters as they happen. It’s very effective at exposing these autocrats.
