Obama Implants His Political Vision for America — But Will It Take?
Pajamas Media ^ | Sept. 11 | Rick Moran

It is not often that a president opens his mind and allows us to see its inner workings, to view the philosophy that animates his actions and drives him to achieve a vision formed from personal experience and thoughtful contemplation.

I believe Barack Obama is indeed a thoughtful man. Not a scholar or intellectual, but someone who has an interest in living what the philosophers refer to as “an examined life.” Perhaps no modern president has spent as much time nor traveled so far in an effort to discover meaning and place as far as the threads of his life are concerned. This much was evident before he became president. Dreams from My Father was, if nothing else, a dissertation on one man’s journey of self-discovery and his drive for self-actualization.

What made that autobiography unique was not so much Obama’s age when he wrote it (33), but rather his almost melancholy realization that he really didn’t fit in anywhere and that he must create his own community in order to feel as if he belonged...

It feels a hole lot more like an impalement and not in a good place. They have never tried to take all our freedoms at once before. This is going to cause a reaction. Hopefully, it won’t kill the patient.

What Obama is trying to do is what any sociopath tries to do: create an identity for himself. They all lack a central core, and their lives are spent trying to find an identity that they like and then trying to convince other people to accept them as they present themselves and also to give them the material and emotional benefits that go with that role.

At the same time they have very chameleonlike personalities, and will take on whatever persona they feel will ingratiate them with people in power (or people who have money, influence, etc.) and reinforce the image they have created for themselves.

Obama defined himself as a Third World Marxist Muslim. When he found that it would be advantageous to define himself as a black American, he devoted 20 years to building an identity of this nature, attending Rev. Wright’s hate fests, consciously marrying the woman he saw as typically African-American, and even modifying his speech patterns. However he still thinks of himself as representing the Third World in many ways, and I think African Americans don’t realize to what a great extent he doesn’t think of himself as one of them, regardless of what he says.

I think the same is true of his allegiance to Islam. He may not practice it, or not very much, but it is part of his construct of himself.

And as for Marxism, this has been the thing that has enabled him to get as far as he has. His adolescent self definition as a Marxist enabled him to be picked up and used by people like Ayers, the Alinksy crowd, and probably more powerful people who are less classically Marxist but have the same objectives (Soros, for example).

I don’t think Obama really understands or thinks much about anything, because I don’t think he has the intellectual equipment to do so, and he clearly has very little knowledge of history or philosophy. But I think he has created the ideal sociopath’s persona.

The danger, of course, is that what will happen to him is what happens to all sociopaths: at some point the charm wears off. The mask slips, or they find themselves in some conflict where suddenly the forces that had supported them and provided their identities them no longer need them. That is why we see those flashes of genuine rage and viciousness from Obama.

A sociopath cannot stand to be thwarted, because it is not simply a plan or an idea that is being thwarted, but his very vision of himself.

Implant? More like a metastisizing cancerous tumor needing surgical removal immediately.

A thoughtful article. The rather lengthy words quoted from the speech, however, bear sharp to those of the "father" of the Constitution, James Madison, in his First Inaugural, regarding the relationship of the government under "the People's" Constitution to the people and the progress of the nation:

"Under the benign influence of our republican institutions. . . , the fruits of a just policy were enjoyed in an unrivaled growth of our faculties and resources. Proofs of this were seen in the improvements of agriculture, in the successful enterprises of commerce, in the progress of manufacturers and useful arts, in the increase of the public revenue and the use made of it in reducing the public debt, and in the valuable works and establishments everywhere multiplying over the face of our land."(Underlining added for emphasis)

Clearly, the Constitution provided the formula for the limited role government was to play in order for a "just policy" to allow America to become the most free and prosperous place the world had ever seen, and one where millions of the oppressed from other lands found refuge and opportunity.

Good post!
Obama is really unhappy that we all aren’t falling to our knees but rather standing on our feet to challenge him.
Obama lacks wisdom because he has no experience that has challenged him.
(Bet he’s out of town tomorrow on 9/12. Too bad he’ll miss the protests.)
