I’m less than 10 miles from the 14th Street Bridge. I just got a civil alert e-mail with the subject “TRAINING EXERCISE on Potomac River”. The body of the message is blank, and that’s never happened before. It looks like they’re still trying to figure out what’s going on.

I agree, something doesn’t sound right. I’m docked at the Ft. Pierce City Marina, in Florida and I keep my vhf radio tuned to channel 16, safety and calling. Prior to any live fire exercises, the Coast Guard will send an alert to mariners via channel 16 with instructions to listen to the CG channel 22A for additional information. They do keep a taped copy of their broadcasts. Now, I hoping that some reporter will ask to hear the alert that was sent out.

So being called ‘Buckhead’ means you are breaking info on FR that no one else knows. IOW, a compliment.
What is the timestamp on that email? Issued before or AFTER the event?
Just FYI - Buckhead was the FReeper who originally exposed Dan Rather’s fraudulent documents regarding Bush’s service records (aka Rathergate).
What the poster was saying is that if this is all true it could put the torch to the lie they are disseminating right now. Your eyewitness testimony could help uncover this cover-up. It’s definitely a compliment to be told that your post may be a “Buckhead” moment. :)

The problem with Obama is that he might hold back any warning....until Obama and friends are safely tucked away.

I just went out to the car here at work to hopefully listen to anything about this on newsradio. I tired 3 stations, NOTHING!, including Beck and Bill Bennet’s shows. Okay, so I only listened for 5 minutes but wtf? Radio silence?
