(Newser Summary) A New York City group has secured enough valid signatures to put a referendum on the November ballot to force a new investigation into the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. A press release from the New York City Coalition for Accountability Now says city lawyers conceded today that at least a requisite 30,000 of some 52,000 collected by the group were legal.
Although the City has an incredibly successful record of shooting down ballot initiatives, we will be arguing from a fresh perspective that reflects the unprecedented events of 9/11, says a lawyer for NYC CAN, which was founded by first responders and survivors of and family members of victims of the attacks. Passage of the referendum, the release notes, would create a local, independent commission with subpoena power that would be tasked with comprehensively reinvestigating the attacks.
Whatever, let them investigate to their hearts content. They can investigate the next one too since they haven’t learned.
they just want a paying job
Would the last right thinking person please turn out the lights when exiting New York? Thank you.
Will do
Well, GoreNoMore will be happy about this. He apparently believes the Bush Admin was behind 9/11 along with Charlie Sheen.
Thousands of witnesses and hours of video and photographic evidence shows that two planes crashed into the towers. After burning for several minutes they began to crumble under the stress of the heat and weight.
Can someone please explain exactly what conspiracy these nutjobs are wanting to investigate?
What a bunch a of racists. Able bodied Muslim men died in the attack, take credit for the attack and what do libs say? Muslims aren’t smart enough to do it, only old white guys can pull something like this off! It’s positively racist.
How hard is it? We were attacked on 9-11 because Clinton dropped the ball. But no, Aliskyites want to keep the hate/beat Bush frenzy going. Of course, it will be our tax dollars paying for it all over again.
