Obama to invade Honduras? Sep 11, 1919 and planes landed in Palmerola today
Local Rumor Mill ^ | 9-10-2009 | Merena

There are some wild rumors going around and lately I don´t trust anything about Obama and am getting a bit fidgety about what may turn out to be your wreckless conduct that can make Vietnam look like a picnic you were wanting. Today in Palmerola several planes from the US Air Force landed. What is significant about that is because of Hillary and Obama´s stance that what happened here was a coup and the supposed suspension of military cooperation. Tomorrow is Sept 11 and while most people think World Trade Center and 9-11-2001 Hondurans think 9-11-1919 when the US invaded Honduras. Surely he isn´t this foolish? Didn´t he promise not to invade small countries and bully them into accepting US policy? Surely he doesn´t want to do a banana war which is what occurred in 1919. Will the US please send him to Costa Rica in his pjs if he does?

It would mean the end of the Obama administration.

If the troops unlawfully regime change Honduras in favor of a marxist they are in violation of their oath. IMO.

Can’t anyone in this administration see that the ex-president of Honduras was trying to violate their Constitution?

Like here, there are limits to the number of times a person can be President. The ex-president was trying to go for another stint and was told by the Supreme Cort and the Legislature NO.

Clearly ayers and soros want another hugo chavez, as a model for the TOTUS-reading fuhrer.

Dumber than dirt.

It would be a distraction from health care. Obama is obsessed about one thing ... his legacy on health care. It would cause a furor.

I do not think that the U.S. military would have a tough time. The Hounduran military is trained by U.S. army adviors and many in the Hounduran military are graduates of the School of the Americas.

The Honduran military also uses the same equipment as the U.S. military.

I think this is very, very unlikely.
Yes, we have a marxist in the White House - but he's not going to create such a distraction while he's pushing all his health industry takeover - and energy tax programs.
Sorry that he's a thorn in Honduras' side (stopping aid; supporting the recently legally disposed Presidente; etc) - but I don't see him engaging in something this stupid (yes - I've been surprised - but I don't think I will be in this case)...

Honduras invasion ping!

It would not surprise me if Obama ordered American troops into Honduras to overthrow the government and re-instate Zelaya.

This is a scary time to be in the Military. Imagine the Marines being ordered to install a Marxist dictator in Central America.
