He ought to stay out of state politics, but Obama likes to play dirty.

“BOSTON — Citing needed support for health care reform, President Barack Obama said Thursday that Gov. Deval Patrick should have the power to appoint an interim senator to fill the late Sen. Edward Kennedys seat.”
No sense trying to even pretend there are State’s Rights issues here, huh?

Those Dems LOVE to change the laws to give themselves an advantage, but then freak out when it comes to bite them in the behind!

But, dearest TOTUS-reading fuhrer, he doesn’t, per the MA voters at the behest of none other than ted the swimmer! So STFU and stay the hell out of other people’s backyards.
Oh, and you are a Liar, just like Joe said. Deal with it.

Wow, are there no bounds to his arrogance? Obviously, there are none whatsoever. State law? -- a minor inconvenience.

The move would require many Massachusetts lawmakers to reverse the stances they took five years agoHard to believe that "The shot heard round the world" was fired in Massachusetts.

Hey just allow MA to have the 4 U.S. senators for the next 4 months. Zero can endorse a policy that if your state is liberal enough it gets twice the Senate representation of other states.
That would be just as legal as the self-serving, change the law anytime we care approach these guys use. and it would make things a lot easier for the democRATS for StalinCare, Cap and Tax, card check, illegals get ebverything we own, and whatever else bright ideas they have.

Yeah that would be right behind the Consitution.
So since he wants health care “reform,” it is ok to advocate in a state’s election to have them reverse their position when it was a GOP governor wanting to appoint a senator....Just appalling!

Kennedy missed over 95% of the votes this year alone. How is that effective representation? Effectively MA has only had one senator since January.
If he had resigned in May of 2008 we wouldn't be discussing this now. Resigning is, of course, anathema to Dems.

Too bad. You wanted the law when it suited you and now you want to pretend the law doesn’t exist when it doesn’t.
I’m sick sick sick of the Republicans just sitting back and letting the Dems do whatever the hell they want.

****Obama’s Organizing for America committee said in an e-mail that the vacancy would deprive Massachusetts of full representation in the Senate, in turn, “depriving the country of a needed vote in favor of real health reform.”****
So he just expects that this appointed Senator will vote the way he wants...quid pro quo.
