CNN can defend the numbers this way; of the people who watched the speech, only 18% were Republican. So the issue is who was swayed by the speech they watched...only 10%.
So as far as it goes, sure, it’s accurate. Does it reflect the public attitude as a whole, as it purports to? Of course not.
My opinion; short and small blip of support, back to same numbers no later than middle of next week.
The bottom line is that Americans really don’t give a $*** about speeches anymore. We want to see some results.
Gergen's remarks weren't quite that strong. He said that had this speech been delivered months earlier at the height of OHHHHH BABY'S popularity (that would have been January 21st 2009) the President could have swept the floor with the GOP. So this was a "failure" in the sense that it was a missed opportunity and nothing more.... Gergen is a boot licking RAT who needs the good will of others in the Party to make a living. He won't jeopardize that.
Every time zero talks he kills his agenda. I hope he has another speech tomorrow.
While I didn’t see the entire speech Obozo gave last night, I did watch approximately 1/2 of it. I’m completely against his socialist plans for this country, not only with regard to health care, but in all areas. Keeping an eye on the enemy demonstrates a high degree of common sense IMHO.
45 to 18 (2.5 Dems per Pubbie) ratio is outrageous. But then notice the total polled - 427 - and this poll is beyond worthless. Honestly I’ve seen a lot of BS polls but this has to be close to winning the all-time cooked poll cake.
Drduge: CNN SPIN SPEECH ‘POLL’ SAMPLED DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF DEMS...
It’s actually exactly 2.5 times more Dems. That is 50% worse than Drudge’s headline states.
Completely Pathetic. It must be bad for their Dear Leader Obama for them to weigh their poll this much. LOL!
The spread is even more outrageous when you consider it’s a 5% lead for Repubs over Dems in the latest generic polls identifying party identifications.

Boy, these guys don’t know a thing about random sampling. Their research piece would be tossed out by any legitimate college committee if they tried this as a research project for a grad project.
Conclusion... They intentionally skewed the poll, or it was a nonscientific poll.
CNN even admitted to oversampling Democrats at the end of their article! (But they still think that there are 1 1/2 times as many Dems than Republicans, which is probably wrong).
yes but Gergen also said zero may get a small bounce from this but it would subside in a weeks time....heas zero even gotten that small bounce???
Good. The state controlled media continues their "shovel ready" project of digging their own graves.
You’re a true patriot for showing the stomach to listen to half the speech.
Thank you for your service.
As for me, hell no, I won’t go . . . er, listen.
Guy lost me at “typical white person.”

The Republicans drag us down with them every time because of their fear of something new, something good, something different. God forbid they spare a buck out of their greedy pockets for the good of all! All Western Countries have Universal Health Care. Sweden, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland etc. But us? No. Why? Because Republicans are afraid of it. Do we have to be dragged back with them all the time? Must we always suffer because of the paranoid few gumming up the works? IS IT RIGHT ONE PERSON CAN LIVE SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY HAVE BETTER INSURANCE THAN ANOTHER? HOW CAN WE JUSTIFY THIS IS OK? ARE WE A BARBARIAN COUNTRY? Seems so. We drop off sick people without Insurance on the street! Left to die alone and in pain! This is OK with you people!? PLEASE! AND THE IRONIC PART IS MOST REPUBLICANS CLAIM THEY ARE SUCH RELIGIOUS PEOPLE! HA! JESUS WOULD BE FOR UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE! ALL REPUBLICANS ARE SUCH PIOUS HYPOCRITES!
It amazing me how these lazy, kool-aide drinking, foul-mouthed, socialist, atheists are able to channel Jesus.
OMG that is hysterically funny! The only way they can spin things is if they lie harder than they’ve ever had to before. It must suck to be them!
Our local evening news reported that 66% of respondents that watched the speech were now more inclined to support the health plan according to a CNN poll...best laugh I had all day and yesterday was a good day(purchased a new US flag and gave the old one to a BSA troop for an honorable disposal).
