SAVAGE is BANNED from the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA!

Posted on 09/10/2009 9:21:39 AM PDT by ggrrrrr23456

Just heard on Savage's home radio station, 910 KNEW, that they will be dropping his 3PM to 6PM PST slot in favor of the Armstrong and Getty show!

I am interested to see what his reaction will be to this one...

First banned in Britain, and now in his own hometown???

KSFO has a total conservative radio network out there (Rush, Sean, Mark, et. al....as Savage often says, there are plenty of (fed up) conservatives in the bay area...

Even a lot of my lefty friends listen. They don’t always admit it, but they’ve been caught.

Where? He left KSFO, which is the only other major station in the Bay Area that will allow someone with right-of-center tendencies. They have Sean Hannity during that time.

Hannity used to be interesting, but he has become very sleep-inducing over the last five years. He was much better when he was just on in New York. Actually, Michael Savage was better when he was only on in San Francisco.

he will probably land another spot in SF Radio.

The problem is that there isn't another spot in the Bay Area.

We had a third right-wing station, but they recently changed back to another format. So, KSFO and KNEW are the only games in town, and KSFO is full up.

“Intellectual Conservative analysis” — Rush Limbaugh? Oh, man, you’re killing me. I might never stop laughing.

Successful he may be, but intellectual he ain’t.

Well, I guess we Traditional Catholics just have higher standards!!

Savage while right about a lot of things, is hard to listen to without slashing your own wrists.

A bunch of years ago, Rush was "dumped" by a local radio station "changing its format" to sports talk. The same conversation took place back then as here. Rush was promptly picked up by the #1 AM station here in S.E. Michigan (WJR). Eventually they moved the liberal Mitch Albom who was in the 3 - 6 PM time slot to 5 - ? PM and added Sean Hannity to the 3 - 5 PM slot.

Savage, who was on 1400 here had the the 5 - 8 PM or 6 - 9 PM slot but was moved to much later in the evening (if he's even still on).......

No conspiracies to shut down local talk radio just good business decisions........

was that KTRB? I usually listen to that one when I’m in the area. I certainly hope they aren’t gone now.

“How many people from Sodom/Gomorrah were listening to him anyway?”

Exactly.

San Fran Sicko Democrats just like any of the other wacko libs do not buy anything advertised on radio. Bottom line. They are cheap bastards.

However, conservatives do spend money on worthy products advertised on conservative radio.

Anyway this lib radio station will go belly up just like the rest of them. Think Scare America Radio.

BREITBART: George W. Bush-by-proxy syndrome

Andrew Breitbart

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Mr. Obama and his Fighting Illini, Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod, have perfected Mr. Alinsky’s techniques as laid out in his guidebook to political warfare, “Rules for Radicals.” In plain language, we see how normal, decent and even private citizens become nationally vilified symbols overnight - all in the pursuit of progressive political victory.

“Rule 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)”

Poor decision on their part. Michael Savage is the best talk show host of all.

Actually it's more like: Michael Savage used to be the best talk show host of all.

Yes it was before Limbaugh — I can not remember the time slot the two were to fill. The show may have been re-broadcast and not live. It vaguely seems to me that Saturday night was involved. Spenser Hughes was doing the afternoon live show.

he will probably land another spot in SF Radio.

I can't imagine how he would. I can't imagine KSFO taking him back. I think he burned those bridges.
