~ EXCERPT ~

Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) apologized Wednesday night to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel for shouting “You lie!” during President Obama’s healthcare speech before a joint session of Congress.

Emanuel accepted Wilson’s apology on behalf of the president, according to a Democratic source familiar with the call.

In addition to his phone call to Emanuel, Wilson also issued a statement separately, calling his comments “inappropriate and regrettable.”

The dour faced Harry Reid called George W. Bush a “loser” in front of school children in Las Vegas. I don’t recall an apology from the corrupt Harry Reid.

In the British House of Commons, I think they are forbidden from using the word "lie". If a member says "they are lying", the Speaker will admonish him to withdraw his remarks. If he doesn't withdraw, the Sergeant-at-Arms will come at take him out of the chamber for the day.

All that said, I have no problem with that word being used against Obama in the U.S. House or anywhere.

Joe was right in one word and wrong in three.

The right and honest and needed word was “Lie!”.

The wrong words were the apology.

I think it was a good move. Call him a liar and then say I’m sorry. The story and the idea are still out there. Obama is a liar ,he said he would not have people or business’s opting out of insurance fined during his campaign and last night he said he would.

The libs keep confusing health "care" with health "insurance" or "coverage."

It is just too easy to make false arguments by doing this so they won't quit unless we "call them out" on it.

......Joe Wilson did break civil protocol.....

BS, pure drivel. The moonbats and especially their leader have called for change. Wilson leads the way for change.

It is not your father’s Oldsmobile. Change cuts both ways

Joe Wilson needs to step up and call 0bama out on his lie which started the whole thing.

If Wilson keeps a low profile now he will be mercilessly hounded to the end of his days.

Stand up, Joe. Call out the President.

Prove the lie.

Joe Scarborough said this morning that the Dems used to “hiss” during President Bush’s speeches. They never apologized.

The first person to openly accuse the political opposition of “spreading lies” during the speech was Obama. If you can’t take it, don’t dish it out.

"This evening I let my emotions get the best of me," Wilson said in his statement. "While I disagree with the president's statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the president for this lack of civility."

Wilson didn't apologize for his words, just for the outburst....I consider that proper. The apology keeps him from being branded a nutjob and used as a liberal whipping boy, while busting the illegal benefits debate wide open!

You're wrong, and your emotions are getting the better of you, but that's alright...we need passion just as much as we need reason
