This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the Presidents remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the Presidents statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.

Could become a verb.
Such as in, "Look at that guy. He just totally Joe Wilson-end out!"
"to Joe Wilson:" v.t.; to make a bold truthful statement, and immediately apologizing.

I love what Joe did even more because, as Obozo was waiting in the wings to come in to be introduced - I saw him in the dim hall with his arrogant chin up in the air like some Emperor.
I could not believe the arrogance I was watching. It was a thrill for me to see him brought down to earth by Joe!!

What Cong. Wilson shouted was true, but the forum was inappropriate. He didn’t backtrack on what he said, only the circumstances under which he said it.
Unless we want the US Congress to become like the British Parliament, we should appreciate the decorum demanded there. Cong. Wilson can speak out his truth in other forums. And, I imagine, he will be in big demand in the coming days and have plenty of opportunity to do so.
The very people who think he shouldn’t have apologized would have been properly outraged if an anti-war Congressman had similarly shouted out to President Bush during one of his addresses to the Congress. We don’t want to start a precedent.

I believe the coverage of illegal immigrants has just been made issue number one. I agree. And it also is a preemptive shot in the upcoming Amnesty push.

One member, I don't care how senior or war-decorated, in ONE chamber, has no right to call or talk down to another member in the OTHER chamber.
These guys McCain and Graham ought to just zip it, and and go find a hotel room together somewhere.

In Washington, a gaffe is when someone accidentally tells the truth. How true. Worth saying twice.

Well, what is done is done.
It is our job, and the job of the Republicans, to do everything they can to return the focus to the untruths in what BO said.
I believe our job has been made harder, you believe it’s been made easier. In either case, our job remains the same.

And by immediately apologizing, he did a preemptive strike and took the wind out of their sails. Hopefully tomorrow’s story will be the WHY of the outburst and use of the word “lie.”

The leader of our party “McCain”, was outraged...
McCain is just a Communist LITE.
God I hope they all die of cancer in the next few months....

He didn’t really apologize for saying the truth. He just apologized for his lack of civility. He said he stands by what he said.
To: divine_moment_of_facts
I really couldn’t say what I heard him say. It happened so fast. I will see if I can hear it on youtube.

Wilson showed class to apologize so quickly and publicly.
To: Truthsearcher
It certainly does remain the same... and tomorrow will be a brilliant day for the truth. All one has to say to any criticism is, “Well... was Wilson lying or obama? If you say Wilson... well then... why did the dims vote down an amendment put forth by the Republicans in committee that would have explicitly banned illegals from being covered under this plan". Then every lie hussein spoke tonight will become a legitimate target of debate.I am off to bed and I thank you and others for a vigorous and civil debate. Contrast that with the DU!
