This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the Presidents remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the Presidents statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.

He apologized for his lack of civility, not for the meaning of his words. I call it a win all around. An apology shuts down the crybabies, but what Joe said stands.
I think his prompt apology for being uncivil will take care of that. The RATS will go nuts - but enough reasonable people know what he said is true. He pretty much said it after Obozo was laying it on thick about the rest of us - so I think they will be happy that Joe called him out.
Joe made a quick human response that can be understood! Obozo has lied too many times.
I am defending Wilson. Your point?
Maybe, but the media will spin it like Wilson is the devil.
I hope that the issue of whether illegals will be covered is now front and center, and not just whether the comment was appropriate.
Is what Joe Wilson said not true? If it’s true, why apologize? Tell Obama to stick it instead.
I am finding it harder and harder to not vote LP.
Too bad you weren't speaking from your brain, your common sense and your soul when you called out "LIAR".
Better you should keep your mouth shut about it now.
You had our respect for that moment you yelled, you lost it in the moment you apologized.
One hour of fame, and then kaput. Another chickensh** Republican floundering around in Obama's tar pit.....trying to get out but can't quite make it.

We don’t want him either. No one running against him at this point.
My thoughts exactly.
Joe Wilson, Profile in Cour...uh...never mind.
Everything has been covered. This was all done correctly. Obama's a liar. Instead of selling his ideas he came to the Well of the House and called half the American people liars.
Obama is, as we knew, a POS, and tonight he demonstrated that thoroughly.
"The shout heard 'round the world!"
What a pussy. (not you, Severino.)
NEVER apologize. NEVER APOLOGIZE.
Your friends don’t need it.
Your enemies won’t believe it anyway.
Joe should have said, “Prove to me obama was NOT lying to America and I will apologize to him in person and on National TV”.

"Good job, son. Call 'em like you see 'em." |
It's outrageous that a President lie to the people. The congressman called him out on it. Let the cards fall where they may.
The media has been demonizing the Town Halls and it didn't work. I, for one, am not worried about what the media thinks. Speak the truth about what Liberty actually is and how it can be taken away with a smile.

Because when you’re debating someone, rule number one is to keep your cool. If you lose your temper you lose the audience.
It may have felt good to yell something, but it made our side of the debate look bad, and that doesn’t help us to persuade people.
He didn’t say anything that wasn’t true. But persuasion is about more than yelling at the top of one’s lung.
He screwed up, because now all that is going to be talked about is the Republican’s lack of civility, rather than the inane speech or the bad healthcare proposal.
They are afraid to speak to power anymore and just stood there and took it and took it and took it when Obama said they were telling lies about his plan ~ which is still secret ~ 'cause he didn't say what it was.
Don't worry about the old MSM ~ their ad revenues are in the toilet, they are in the toilet, even now newspapers are turning into internet sites complete with COMMENT sections.
I tell the Washington Post to go to hell every single day now right on their own board.
