In April JPost had a front page picture of Netanyahu disembarking from a plane carrying Fareed Zakaria’s “The Post-American World.” It was the mirror image of the picture taken of Obama with that book. Same book, different leaders, different meanings.
Russia’s oil riches put it in competition with the Arab world. Obama’s positions put him in sympathy with the Arab world.
New alliances.

The Prime Minister’s Office issued a statement attempting to clear up the ambiguous nature of Benjamin Netanyahu’s alleged “disappearance” earlier this week, following reports that he visited Russia.
“The prime minister was dealing with matters of a classified nature. The military secretary to the prime minister took it upon himself to shield this activity by issuing an independent statement. National Security Advisor Uzi Arad had no hand in the matter.” (Roni Sofer)
