Republican State Sen. Mark Amodei kicked off his campaign for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Harry Reid today, telling reporters that he’ll run a positive campaign in the crowded primary, but that plenty of people in Nevada want to get rid of the incumbent.
“When you look at where Nevada is right now, I think we’re at a financial crossroads. We do not need the status quo,” said Amodei, who is from Carson City. “The focus really needs to be on Nevada right now.”

Pretty good I think. People are fed up. But Reid has a way of surviving and should never be counted out.

Who cares if Amodei is a (R)! What Nevadians ought to make sure of is before they vote is Amodei a Conservative?
A moderate or rino will be useless to us all!

These guys had better make it a clean primary fight. Keep their eyes on the prize and remember it’s not about them.
Don’t start the chest pounding. Defeating Reid is the goal.

From what I have heard, very good. The people of Nevada hate him.

That’s yet to be seen. Amodei has voted for tax increases. Lowden hasn’t done much for the Republican cause in NV. Tarkanian has lost elections.
Chest pumping conservative making absolutely no apologies to you luke warm lilly supporters who are so ignorantly clueless, or just plain spiteful because someone has an (R) by their name.
In this race, it’s the goal. No other outcome is possible. Reid is vulnerable and must be defeated. Let’s hope for a lively GOP primary, but I expect you to support whomever the GOP challenger is. I don’t want to see the typical chest-pounding and personal smearing of the perceived “RINO” boogiemen by the CINOs.
