Taxpayers will lose on auto bailouts

Much of the money given to General Motors and Chrysler to prevent them from collapsing will never be recovered, according to a report released Wednesday by the Congressional Oversight Panel.

Lee Iacocca was a tax-eater who brought his company from a falling third to a barely above water third, eventually necessitating its sale to Daimler.

On the bright side think of all the UAW pensions we just shored up. All those union guys who still have jobs and can vote democrat and donate to campaigns.

Yup worked out great.

Yes he also invented the Mini Van, Point here Zero is NO Iacocca he is instead part of the Most Worthless NON Productive element of our society.

these GM workers and Chrysler workers, and I use the word “work” hesitantly, will still get their hefty pensions and medical retirement, their severance packages and their sick time paid as a bonus, and yet not one person gave a crap about people like my husband, who’s company just declared bankruptcy, and that was all she wrote...no pension, no medical, no sick pay bonus, no serverance..not even a thankyou....
