Hmm. A Boeing 737, fully fueled carrying its max load weighs 300,000 lbs. We know that the two that hit the Towers had full fuel tanks, so let's reasonably assume that they each weighed around 280,000 lbs. Let's see now -- a 280,000 lb object, carrying tens of thousands of pounds of jet fuel, traveling at around 550mph, crashes head-on into a largely glass and steel building.
Before 9/11, had any building, anywhere, ever been assaulted in such a manner? Nope.
What happened was what happened: A 280,000 lb object loaded with jet fuel and traveling at 550 mph plowed into the first Tower. Same thing with the second Tower. (Try imagining the enormous, explosive, near-instantaneous amount of kinetic energy the building absorbed at that moment.) Then apply just a bit of common sense and take it from there.

Frankly, I would be fine if Bush and Cheney continued as Kings for Life over America. That would most certainly have happened if there was any aspect of truth to these conspiracy claims. They would not hand off power if they had any notion of radical tyranny alleged by Truthers.
Moreover, almost any civic crisis one can name resulted in more severe intrusions into personal liberty. A couple of examples include the Civil War and World War II.
The Patriot Act also had sunshine provisions allowing it to be debated again after a limited period of intrusion.
Democracy is not a suicide pact. I do however believe there is a powerful set of radicals that want to privately collude with the very visible anti American powers of this earth to destroy this great bastion of liberty. The refusal to believe one of the most empirically verified attacks on any nation is part of a concert of thought directed at destroying our nation.

Loose Change has so many errors, most are errors of ignorance. For example, they say that jet fuel is basically made of kerosene ‘like cooking fuel’ that doesn’t get hot. What they don’t point out is that like gasoline, there are many compositions of kerosene and jet fuel kerosene is much different than cooking fuel kerosene (heck the Saturn V rocket used a kerosene type fuel.)
They falsely mention that the entire nose of the plane was made out of titanium.
They falsely claim that cell phones don’t work on moving airplanes.
