Bill Sammon just gave a lengthy report on Fox regarding ObamaCare. According to Fox, Pelosi and Reid are meeting this AM at the White House to iron-out details of Obama's address to Congress tomorrow night. Pelosi says she has the votes if the bill includes the public option. Reid says he does not unless the bill excludes the public option -- unless he goes "nuclear" and passes it through the Senate with 50 votes plus Biden's to break the tie. Obama now said to be willing to be either for or against the "public option," whichever helps the bill pass. Wrinkle is that the reconciliation authority in the Senate expires on 15 october, so bill will be passed before then if nuclear option is employed.
I had thought that all the protesting against Obamacare would have had an effect upon Congress. Apparently not.
bttt
Also, Dems determined to put “public option”into bill using either the “trigger” or the “co-op” lies.
The effect upon Congress will occur November 2010.
Think about what that means.
The Democrats are dousing themselves with political gasoline. Good.
There won't be a tie in the Senate as long as kennedy's seat remains empty.
...unless the rats let him vote from the grave.
it means the retention rate for incumbants gives them a HUGE comfort zone.
AND
they fear Obama and the Obamunists far more than they fear voters.
Too bad it isn't going to work...everyone is on to them now.
>> Think about what that means.
...that with ACORN, SEIU, community “organizing”, census redistricting, and vote fraud, they figure it doesn’t matter how many voters they piss off?
The Democrats don’t need Reps to pass Obamacare. They are more concerned with placating their base than anything else. Pelosi can apply all kinds of pressure on the Dems including the allocation of campaign funds and finding opponents in the Dem primaries.
No??? You see any bill passed yet?
They’re in recess.
Thanks for the report—I was out of the house and missed it. I don’t think congress will begin to “listen” until they’re voted out of office. So be it.
It will be too late then. If Congress passes any government-run health care bill, this country is screwed.
I have often thought about what that might mean. Let me just say that the people might not always be demonstrating peacefully if this continues. I hope THEY think about what THAT means.
” it means the retention rate for incumbants gives them a HUGE comfort zone.”
Good observation, and one that is missed in all the hype.
They will go with a survival of the fittest, as long as they retain power.
2010 is a long way off, and they will stretch out any impact so they can incorporate this into their talking points at that time.
You can already hear some of that logic being communicated.
Black caucus rep for example.... You know this doesn’t take effect for several years, and we will work out the details before then.
Question: Does that mean you don’t care now, you’ll only worry then?
Of course not. The Dems don’t want to hear from the public. They want to hand out money to their supporters. Something they always accuse the Republicans of doing.
