Ted Nugent: "We have the perfect president for a nation that doesn't care."
Don Surber, Charleston Daily Mail ^ | 9/7/2009 | Don Surber

Coal entrepreneur Don Blankenship put on a shindig at a reclaimed strip-mine site near Holden, West Virginia, for a Labor day picnic for 100,000 of his closest friends.

Sean Hannity is there, so I suppose he will yak about it on his show tomorrow. Hank Williams Jr. is the main draw. Ted Nugent is the emcee.

Nugent gave ‘em hell and told the crowd to fight back: “We have the perfect president for a nation that doesn’t care.”

The Nation does care and the silent majority is beginning to stand up. They can take this country back once they come together. Hopefully they don’t wait too long. Enough is enough. Obama just said that “some things are worth fighting for”. He doesn’t realize that our country is worth fighting for and Americans will fight for this country.

“We have the perfect president for a nation that doesn’t care.”

He does, I do, we do here.

While I agree the media presents this attitude along with the government acting like it does not care about the American people and only themselves the town hall meetings so we do care.

I have no idea of the crowd and I have no idea if tickets were sold
but the event lasts for hours and there will be people coming and going so 100 k isn’t out of the question.

Wouldn’t you say that is a pretty good crowd anyway?

I have often remarked that this country required a serious wake-up call from its periodic idiotic dalliances with leftist “leaders” and suggested that we needed a dedicated Marxist in the White House to rub our noses in the REAL DEAL. We got one with Obama and he may prove to be the best thing that ever happened to the cause of freedom here.

While making that suggestion, my fingers were crossed. On one hand, I feared that the majority of modern-day, government schooled folk and welfare leeches would come to embrace Marxist philosophy and practice and America — the IDEA — would come to an end. On the other hand, I held out hope that my fellow citizens would reject this alien ideology and rebel in a demonstrable way. I thank God that the latter is happening as I write this. The anger and outrage are palpable to even the hard-core leftists now infesting the White House. Barring some catastrophe — which malignant Machiavellians like Rahm “A crisis is too good to waste” Emanuel are fully capable of orchestrating — they will be shown the gate at the next election.

But what has puzzled me most through the run-up to this point (with some notable exceptions of which Georgia’s Dr. Broun and Dr. Price are but two) – is this: WHERE ARE THE PRINCIPLED MEN — REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS ALIKE — WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN STANDING UP TO THIS GUY?? In order that they might avoid the tough questions inherent in governing this nation, have they shipped so much of THEIR power down Pennsylvania Avenue that they are now AFRAID to reclaim it? Why has it fallen to Mark Levin, Michelle Malkin, Rep. Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Rush, Boortz and a handful of others to do the job of those we elected to office – and swore an oath — to guard the Constitution from “...all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC?” They have largely been MIA!

And, while they have been missing, Obama has appointed more czars than the Russians had through their entire history. I asked Chambliss and Isakson (REPUBLICANS from Georgia) if they were just a tad worried that Obama was forming a politbureau here to replace THEM. I’m still waiting for a response that makes sense.

And one final thought as we look forward to replacing the Marxist-n-Thief come 2012: What sort of people have we elected when a small, attractive mother from Alaska named Sarah has BIGGER CAJONES than the alleged MEN now warming seats and wasting expensive space on that hill at the eastern end of Pennsylvania Avenue?

I’m just asking the question we all should be asking.

Have YOU asked the question?

No tickets were sold but they wanted you to sign up online. Ted said traffic was tied up for 5 miles. Looks at least 70K

...the National Anthem should be replaced by, “Baaaaaa.” Well it would be easier for the simple minded liberal sheep to sing.

Some of Ted's lines are priceless.

It is going to have to be huge crowds to gain any credence. These 1000 tea party stops are easy to sideline as a small group of extremists. The larger the crowd, the more mainstream the issues appear and the more likely to get some tv coverage to show the uncommitted that the time to stand up is now.

Direct link, avoiding WOWK’s crappy “player”. This should open directly with Windows Media Player:

mms://a86.l2156154890.c21561.n.lm.akamaistream.net/D/86/21561/v0001/reflector:54890

If it doesn’t work, try downloading VLC Player, which will play most anything:

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

Install it, click Media>Open File, choose Network tab, paste the above link in the box, then click the Play button.

Yes, I have asked myself that question.

The problem is multilayered. Both the Democratic and Republican Parties (and members thereof) have been taking donations for years from the same people and groups, such as George Soros and Goldman Sachs for example. Political descisions should be made on the basis of sound principles, not on a donor’s spurious needs.

Neither Senator John McCain (born in a public hospital in Colon, Republic of Panama) nor Barack H. Obama II (dual/multiple citizenships) are eligible to be President according to Article II of the U.S.Constitution. Why was THAT allowed to happen? Was it solely due to the collegial atmosphere in the Senate, where friendships matter more than the constitutionality of their actions? Or did the fact of George Soros heavily donating to each man factor in greatly?

There is a reason our founders placed that eligibility requirement - natural born Citizen - into the Constitution. It has to do with allegience. Requiring a person born here to citizen parents, in other words, a natural born citizen as our President is the best way to assure that a Commander-in-Chief does not have split allegiences.

Sarah Palin originates far outside the Washington, D.C., political loop, and that’s all for the good of this nation. She isn’t hampered by the bipartisan bull crap that has ensnared past Republicans and resulted in embarrassing political descisions that has painted them as anything but Conservative.

For most constituents, as long as their Congressman/woman or Senator keeps bringing home the portk, they’ll continue to vote for the corrupt politician until that person is too old or does something very embarrassing to their district or state.

Better descisions on the part of voters is desperately needed, but far too many prefer to watch ‘Dancing with the Stars’ rather than researching political candidates and issues. (Does that mean people like the two of us are weird?) A regular turnover in the House and Senate would cure much of the problem that now exists in those institutions, but without a Constitutional amendment mandating this it won’t happen regularly, and it should.

We have wandered away from following our own Constitution and it is wrecking havoc with the lives of our people.

Satin,
Agree with you with one exception.

John McCain was born to two U.S. citizens while his dad was stationed with the Navy in Panama. There is a specific provision in the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act or a separate statute covering children born thus to parents out of the country serving in the military.

Obozo IS a usurper for sure or he’d have released the birth certificate by now.
