Do you honestly think the speech would have been chock full of Marxist platitudes and calls for eight-year olds to join in the fight for Universal Health Care?
Do you think there would have been a teensy bit of political fallout from that? Do you think they would have run a cost-benefit calculation and decided it was worth it?
I don’t know obviously, but I doubt this is much different from what they originaly planned. The One, The Messiah, is sayin, “suffer the little children to come listen to me,” and he proceeds to teach, preach, cajole and order them to be good little boys and girls, because He will be watching.
I think it was more an ego gratification thing than a brainwashing gambit.
The NEA has 180 days a year to brainwash the kids gradualy.

A major miscalculation in my opinion was in the lesson plan sent out that asked students to write letters to themselves about what they could do to “help the president”. It should have read “help the country” or “help your community”. That was a real red flag that helped bring out the fight against a compulsive speech, and also highlighted what the agenda was, regardless of any subsequent rewrites.
The only fact you pointed out was erroneous. I can’t speak for the others, but I really don’t care how the far left thinks of this site or the posts here. Meglomania is a common charateristic of many dictators, that’s where I will disagree with you that pointing out self-absoprtion is “silly”.
Reading your few posts here, you sure seem to like to lecture people a lot. Did you want us to just shut up and listen, or get out of the way?

I agree. The speech is the kind of message kids need to hear over an over. Of course, i seriously doubt it is the speech he originally planned to give.

Apparently, when he allegedly loses the most simple of arguments to liberal co-workers day in and day out, it is freerepublic’s fault.
He then makes it a point to lose the most simple of arguments at freerepublic.
