Issues, not politics, is their cup of Tea (18,000 at Cincinnati Tea Party by DDN admission!)
Dayton Daily News (Dayton Daily Worker) ^ | 9/6/09 | Dave Gerber and Lauren Pack

Posted on 09/07/2009 5:24:55 AM PDT by LS

An estimated 18,000 attend event at Voice of America Park in West Chester Twp.

John Kasich, Jean Schmidt, John Boehner, and Mike Turner all came out, which is good to see.

This article was from yesterday's paper and I didn't see it until today, and am having trouble finding the actual article link, though I have the paper in front of me. If anyone can post the exact link, thanks.

If the Dayton Daily Worker is admitting 18,000 showed up (to a massive . . . 20 pro-Obama protesters), then hell must be frozen over.

Signs of the time

Other signs read “Wake up America,” “DC politicians kiss my grits,” “No tax slavery,” “Commander in thief,” “Socialism rich or poor you will hate it,” “It’s time to drain the swamps in DC,” “Stay out of my schools Obama,” “Out of control federal government back off” and “Don’t tell me what to teach on Sept. 8.”

Wendy Jenkins of Anderson, Ind., stood out among some holding a sign that read: “I am ashamed I voted for Obama.”

“I had to be honest about it,” she said.

Jenkins said she is a Libertarian who thought she was making the right decision when she voted for Obama. She no longer feels that way, citing the war and the Patriot Act as factors.

“If the government would follow the laws of the Constitution, we would be fine,” Jenkins said.

Cathy and Norm Breckel of Cincinnati held signs, one stating “Bitter voter, clinging to my wallet and doctor.”

Well, this is not the Dayton Daily News. Weird how it ends up at the Middletown Journal.

They are starting to get a clue

““They’re scared to death,” he added. “They’re scared that the country they grew up in is not going to be the country their children and grandchildren grow up in.””

@@@@@@

You think this is just a random ‘glitch’ in their website?
The newspaper webmasters, like the production crews on tv ‘news’ shows, often do a bit of “editing” themselves.

"There is a saying “Friends dont let friends drive drunk” It was written by someone who never tried to stop a determined drunk from driving."

Or it means that 50,000 was the actual crowd size.

Not on the Cincinnati Enquirer’s site either. At least not easily found. They have a short video but no real article.

There was a small story on the Enquirer online site which judged the crowd at 6,000, one third of the actual attendance estimated by organizers and Sheriff Richard Jones.

WEST CHESTER TWP. - There was no shortage of anti-Obama signs at the Cincinnati Tea Party’s rally Saturday at the Voice of America Park.

But the largely conservative crowd of more than 6,000 didn’t hold back its displeasure when the three conservative Republican members of Congress gave answers they didn’t like to questions asked during the town hall portion of the rally.

The Tea Parties are drawing crowds comparable to Obama rallies last year. The Tea Parties are so successful that GOP politicans want in on the action.

John Kasich, Jean Schmidt, John Boehner, and Mike Turner all came out, which is good to see.

Think they get it? Or do they think this is a GOP rally, which it is NOT?

I don’t know. You have to ask them. I do know if they weren’t there, everyone here would whine and complain that they weren’t there.
