WASHINGTON -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is hunkered down behind her most powerful chairman, Charles Rangel, amid new revelations about his failure to report millions of dollars in assets, income and business transactions.
She says she is waiting for the House Ethics Committee to complete its wide-ranging investigation of the Ways and Means Committee boss.
But Republicans are not waiting.
"She can't bring herself to do what she knows is right," Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) told The Post yesterday.
Republicans plan to force votes in Congress that will make vulnerable Democrats facing tight races to side with or against Rangel.
Every vote with Rangel will become an instant campaign ad back home.
When Pelosi maneuvered her historic House takeover three years ago, she did not win on some legislative mandate.
The reason Democrats won is because they were not Republicans. Republicans had become embroiled in so many disgraceful scandals that they proved themselves entirely unworthy of public trust or authority.
Pelosi promised this would be "the most ethical Congress ever."

While the article seems to be about Pelosi and Rangel, the pithy descriptions are shot-gunned at Republicans

I used to own 14 apartment units. So, I was always calling contractors to do jobs. The ones you could NNEVER trust are the ones who immediately said "You can trust me"- it became an immediate red flag that has rarely failed me.
Sadly, out of about 50 contractors there was only about 10% who I would call back, including my plumber who is fantastic.
Fine, she wants to stand by him, let her - preferrably in an unemployment line. I would love to see both of them forced to resign as a pair.
Eventually there will have to be intervention. These people will not leave voluntarily. Unfortunately, people are not ready, though hopefully we may be entering the malaise phase of our road to freedom.
This will be the total undoing for Pelosi. And the Republicans should push for a thorough investigation of Rangel. He needs to be exposed for the thief that he is. He’s played the “race” card one time too many.
Crimes are not “race” specific.
RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”
The Constitution must and should always be the rule by which we must demand our adversaries to abide by. There is no room for interpretations and diversion from the clear articles and amendments. We must know the rules, we must know the Constitution by heart, we must be relentless in bringing up the rules and make them live and act accordingly. Refusal to do so will place them in an uncomfortable situation that will make them weaker and weaker. If we manage to make them aware that the rules are there for them to follow and obey, they have one of two options: obey them or be removed. There are constitutional means by which we the people can hold our representatives and senators accountable for not honoring the oath of office they took when they were sworn in. And, based on the relentless and irresonsible manner in which our Constitution has been manipulated and distorted, even ignored thus far, we must take clear and concise action to stop them from doing more damage to our Country that what they have already done. The Law is on our side and we must find the proper way to enforce it.
RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
Every person has his or her weaknesses. Whenever possible, bring them up in the open, expose them and make them feel embarrassed and guilty. They are hurting us at a personal level through all the policies and measures that takes away our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms. So, we must take things personally, and return the favor personally. There is no defense against being publicly ridiculed and embarrassed. It causes the most balanced person to lose control and say or make things that will go against him. An angry person acts impulsively and says and makes mistakes that will hurt him or his position or agenda. A fearful person acts irrationally and is easily pushed into a position of making concessions. Our adversary’s weakness is our strength.
If something isn't done, I am afraid we are headed for a "let them eat cake" and pitch fork momment in history.
“Culture of corruption!” Yet the GOP won’t be able to run ads with Rangel’s picture next year or the screams of racism will drown out the intent of the ad. Pretty pathetic.

She is a marxists. She doesn't give a damn about what is right and wrong. Indeed, as a marxist, the more perverse an issue is the more likely she will be to support it.
Regarding Pelosi’s reluctance to remove Rangel, would it be possible that Rangel might have something on Pelosi?
