Called LISD and a letter was sent out to all the schools from the central office. The letter stated that normal classroom instruction would not be interrupted by the presidential broadcast in any medium, internet or TV. YEA! LISD! Any others checked on this in their area?
What difference if it is a lesson plan item or not? One way or another the school will use its power and authority and your money to give Ears access to the children.
BTW, these people attend church for often cynical reasons...it is part of coopting pastors and getting bond levies passed.
Too bad our Governor gave such a milquetoast no response response. Am still waiting for something, anything from Cornyn and Hutchinson who have been silent on not only this issue but on govt healthcare. Talk about a lack of leadership!

It sounds like you have had some pretty bad experiences with the public school system, I have too! But, the daily plan for learning is pretty well laid out and I would be suprised to learn that O’s speech was presented without giving the parents a heads up about it.

If you get a chance, visit our church. You might have a different opinion of the people there AND their reason for attending. There’s not near as many “fakers” sitting(and standing) in our church as I think you believe.
I obviously can’t speak to your church, but insiders know that school officials tend to attend the biggest churches in their areas for the reasons I mentioned. In this area it would be a Baptist megachurch (lo and behold, that is indeed exactly where you find the critters here, by golly). They don’t do this by accident.
In addition, while some school employees are genuine, there are many others that are selling children out for money - Sunday Christians who go along with the leftist curricular agenda of the school establishment Monday through Friday, including mainstreaming homosexuality and other perversions.
Regarding lesson plans - there are lots of ways schools can do things without putting them in the lesson plans.

Nederland, Tx ISD sent a similar letter to parents, NO GO, It will interfere with lunch and they do not have the bandwidth....
No, but our school district is not too far from there.
Honestly couldn't tell you. I'm in Will County, while Cook county is just across the road I haven't heard how the schools there are handling it.
